Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good
darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie.

The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:

* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner

* any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences)
-a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short
conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately!

* Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!)

* do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it.

This is a modified reminder that I've posted before in reply to someone asking "can we spam the cafe". It still holds true, so I'm going to repeat it periodically for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Read the first post of the thread, it's NOT a spam zone. If you want to discuss you grades, a problem with a teacher,the weather, your neighbor's new car etc.....etc.. (real life conversations) this is the place. I don't mind a SMALL amount of spam but when the Cafe gets to be 8 pages in one day and it's all one liner pure spam, I have to ask people not to do it because most of the members who would come to talk about their day or things that they want advice or sympathy or cheers on, will not post in that atmosphere. I want you to be comfy here, but not at the expense of other members.

So the answer is NO, I don't want to see page after page of roleplay spam or one liner spamfests that could be done on msn or aim etc. because our goal is to TALK WITH one another , not fill up a cafe in five hours. ;)

Schools going ok, thanks. Just more assignments - nothing new there. Heh, still, it should be over in a few months. - so, you've got all of the wedding planned now? ;) .

You missed working?! :D Well to be sure, I am thinking I'd miss it too after a prolonged 'vacation', especially the regular paychecks, but also the work and seeing people every day. Guess we're not ready to retire yet, huh?

hehe, I put IWD2 on hold too - don't remember how far I got - it was past the goblin stronghold, um. Oh yes. It was at that maze - after that witch's hut.

It is really nice to come home with 30 or 40 bucks a nite, and then get a pay check on top of it. :D You get use to having cash around all the time, thats what I missed the most. ;) </font>

well, the hike went good and the 11 hour bus trip yesterday allowed me to catch some rest but the next three days of doing nothing is something I'm looking forward to for sure [img]smile.gif[/img]

Gotta go drop my films off for processing this afternoon and need some essentials from the supermarket too, already shaved my shaggyness away so that's one of my major things I needed to do that's done and dusted... (amazing how much growth you get after being in a rainforest for a week and not being able to shave ;) )

Glad to hear you're getting good playtime for your buck Cloudlady, I'm bored of all my games [img]tongue.gif[/img] including Dark Age of Camelot, I like that one when Jen's playing cause I can play with her but she's focusing on school and stuff (which is fair nuff :D ) at the mo' so pretty much finding stuff to do away from my puter chair, hehe

Boonay guys. No tuxes for the formal. :( Me and my friend decided not to. yesterday when I said we got them, I meant we picked em out. [img]tongue.gif[/img] I've decided to just wear a suit. lol Anyway, I'm getting more and more excited about Thursday. The weightlifting meet mostly. It's gonna be awesome. I stayed behind after school again today to help decorate for the dance. Student council has to. Bleh [img]tongue.gif[/img] It's pretty fun though. We get to see the decorations before everyone else. :D I'll be sure to get pictures guys. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Well, Downunda, I have had some of the games, like IWD2 and NWN for a while and haven't finished so it's still new to me. Same with Divine Divinity. I got it for my birthday over a year ago and only just got to playing it a few months back. I don't have as much time for playing as I'd like what with other things going on, but after the wedding..maybe I'll finish something! :D

Hiya guys. haven't been in Cloudys for a while because my life is going wrong and I'm trying to get rid of all of my scissors.

Willow, I didn't think I'd like Divine divinity but after puttering around in it for a week or so, I decided it wasn't too bad. Got used to the interface and different way of doing things like spells or battles and equipping the character and I actually really like it now. Good story and lots to do!

Willow - No it won't affect my job, but it does mean less work for me to do now. Just one patent can keep you busy for months! I guess their farm equipment isn't selling too well in the Netherlands and they have competition from another company. Not that I'll miss typing documents about milking cow teats LOL, but it was better than sitting watching the clock tick!

Ewww weird. Just heard on the radio news that a woman in France married a dead guy. Apparently it is legal to marry somebody who died as long as you can prove that you were engaged to marry before they died. Wonder how THAT ceremony went? [img]graemlins/saywhat.gif[/img]
