Heya.
Anyone feel like getting drunk and thrashin'/moshin'/lurchin'/skankin'/jivin' around a dimly-lit dancefloor? Ok, well, Nagas (the band I sing for) and The Gladeyes will be heading on a New Zealand-wide tour this February and you know what? We'd really love you to come.
Our schedule goes a little somethin' like this:

Saturday 31st January; Queenstown, The Dux
Tuesday 3rd February; Dunedin, The Arc
Thursday 5th; Timaru, Fat Ladies Arms
Friday 6th; Christchurch, Wunderbar
Saturday 7th; Nelson, The Phat Club
Wednesday 11; New Plymouth, Euphoria Basement Bar
Thursday 12; Wellington, Valve
Friday 13; Hamilton, Altitude
Wednesday 18; Auckland, Kings Arms

So, if you're in any of these places on these dates and feel like hittin' the town and hearing some high-energy live rock n' roll then come check us out. It'll be f**kin' rad, I TOTALLY promise!

Heh heh. Cheers man.
Give us some time, the Nagas global world-domination tour is just a few hundred thousand dollars away ;)

Melusine 01-28-2004 06:19 AM

Whoa. Congratulations Aaron!! Yeah like Johnny said: when will you start touring in the Netherlands dammit? :D Don't give me any whiny-assed excuses about money and distance, just do it, LOL

Man, I don't have to wish you a great time because I know you'll have one. So again I'll echo Johnny (what the hell is wrong with me today) and say knock em dead!!

LordKathen 01-28-2004 06:26 AM

Mate, if I had the money, I would fly to New Z, just to see you play man. I downloaded some of your music, and I like it!
Ok, and I have always wanted to go to New Z, but mostly to see you guys! ;)

Oh ya, when you go on your world domination tour, stop into Kennewick, WA. I can book ypu in a great bar here, I know the guy who promotes most the bands around here. See ya then! ;) :D

Cheers Sarah!
I'll take lots of film and get some photos for Stealthies. Speaking of which, I still havn't scanned the November/December ones... not having a scanner sucks.
Oh yeah, and we are sponsered by Emerson's Brewery, so there'll be free beer for the whole trip, so it should be a jolly good laugh ;) We're also sponsered by Durex, so we'll hopefully have alot of other fun as well heh heh

And yes, put lots of pics on Stealthy's!!

BTW, now that we're on the subject - would you still happen to have those Nagas MP3s? I lost them when I had to move, you know? :(
Any way I could get them again?

The Hierophant 01-28-2004 06:46 AM

I've still got the mp3s. No problem. Hmmm. I guess I can just make another geocities account and post them up again (even though it kept overloading last time). All good.
Incidentally, we've sent the EP out to a few radio stations and are starting to get some airplay. We'll hopefully record a proper album over the course of the year, which'll be great because the Ep was so horridly rushed (from scratch to printing in four days) we just couldn't get the quality we wanted. Anyways, when I get the mp3's up again I'll let you know.

Melusine 01-28-2004 06:47 AM

That'd be great, thanks mate.

You should've seen what they gave us! As well as money; Durex T-Shirts, two GIANT boxes of condoms, as well as a half-dozen bottles of chocolate-flavoured "pleasure enhancing lubricant". YEAH!!! ROCK AND ROLL!!! :D

NEVER!!!!!! ;)

The Hierophant 01-28-2004 07:36 AM

OK, MP3s up: (right-click and 'save target as')
Lil' Chuck
The Customer Is Always Right
Fat n' Sassy
Third Degree Burns
Poultry In Motion

The server will probably crash if too much bandwidth gets used up within a one-hour timeframe. So if it doesn't work, try again in an hour when the bandwidth resets. It sucks, I know, but until we get a proper website up it's the best I can do ;)

Oh, don't worry, any New Zealand sheep joke can just as easily be adapted to 'Australian' ;) You really want to start a war of mutually-assured destruction Davros? :D

Melusine 01-28-2004 08:44 AM

You're a darling, thanks Aaron. Playing in Winamp as I write.

Psst... Why do NZlanders like to do it facing the edge of a cliff?

The sheep push back harder.

T/-/alali 01-28-2004 08:47 AM

Hierophant, good luck dude! Heheh, chocolate flavored lubricant. :D

Oh yes, incredibly original Sarah  heh heh Another one of the 'insert Scottish/Welsh/New Zealander/Australian here' sheep shagging jokes. Har har, chortle chortle ;) Just kidding. It was nice ;)

What're the main similarities between bungie jumping and a Dutch hooker? They both cost about $80, they both last about 3-5 minutes, and if the rubber breaks you're a dead man ;)

Because "de rooie brug" is right around the corner, and a lot of my friends went there at least once. It seems to have a magical attraction to people from outside this city. :D

Lady Blue03 01-28-2004 03:00 PM

Ooh you know Downunda lives in Christchurch. I'll tell him to go see you guys, that would be awesome :D

Oy except I think that might be the week he's going hiking for 10 days. Well I'll have to check for ya

Yeah man. Dat'd be whack! ;)
But if not, then happy trails to Downunda. Do you know which track he's walking?

pcgiant 01-28-2004 11:55 PM

I think there is a good chance we could sneak u in bro. I don't know how tight security is at the Phat Club, but if you were helping us bring gear in (like amps and shit) then you'd probably be fine. We've snuck our guitarist's younger brother into alot of our gigs in Dunedin, hopefully we can do the same for you. Of course I can't promise anything here.

Speaking of which, I'll talk to the guys about the show you mentioned. At the moment we have about 3 days or so after our Nelson gig before we cross Cook Strait, so we might very well be able to fit it in. Again, I'm not the 'head organiser' of the tour (I just turn up, get drunk and yell into the mic ;) )so I can't promise anything. But I'll definately bring it up. And cheers for the interest man

man, that sounds wicked! Happy trampin', wish I could join ya :D

ps: the huge light-blue Gladeyes posters with the tiny little 'Nagas' at the bottom? Heh, well, the Gladeyes did pretty much all of the organising for this tour so I can't complain about the posters, I'm stoked we get to do this at all. By the sounds of it we'll hopefully get some radio interview-time, so keep your ears peeled
