May somewhat fry the "Lord of the Rings" Story Line.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * In "The Two Towers" there is this pale guy in a black cloak that's always hanging around the king. Later he ends up being thrown out the door. I wonder -- Whatever happened to that sucker? He's the Mohammed Saed Al-Sahaf of Movies! (Have no idea what happened to him either.) |
Try reading the book. And which king are you refering to? The king of Rohan? In that case the bugger is named Wurmtounge (sp?), and he was a source of evil influence on the king. They flushed him out, and he's effectively supposed to be exiled (I think). All I remember is that they don't kill him.

I assume you mean Wormtongue, doesn't he pop up again in ROTK?
|
SPOILERS!
In the book in the section titled The Scouring of the Shire, the hobbits come back home to find that Saruman has effectively taken over. The hobbits raise a revolt. Saruman has Wormtongue tell how he killed the mayor. Wormy snaps and kills Saruman. Wormy is then killed by the hobbits. Unfortunately, The Scouring was cut out of the movie, so who knows what'll happen. |

Did you guys know that Tolkien spoke icelandic and many words and names in his books are icelandic
Gríma for instance means Mask |
Yeah, and Shelob is she-spider, as lob is spider...in some language. I have been studying the language structures he used...and reading alot about his methods of creating the languages. It is very interesting to me, as I would like to study languages myself. Some of his stuff was even old Norse.

They cut the scouring from the movie?? wtf?? I'm sure I'll still absolutely adore anything they do with it, but won't that kinda (REALLY) mess with the story-line???
3 MORE DAYS THOUGH!!!!! |
Grime Wormtongue is his name. He is Saruman's right hand man who got into Theoden Kings mind (king of the golden hall of men aka Rohan) He will return in return of the king. *hint *hint he will be in Orthanc. See the towers towers book ends way later then the movie that is why this seems messed up!

Peter Jackson has said that (some of) Saruman's final fate will be in next year's Collector's Edition RotK DVD release, but it had to be cut from the theatrical release due to time constraint and story flow reasons. I was a bit disappointed to hear it, but if the first two movies are any indication, this one will be just fine despite the adjustment.

They took out that last part? How could they! That’s the part of the story where the great heroes return home... then again it would take a good 30 minutes to do that part so I suppose I can understand why they would cut it.
