Did anyone ever notice it you rearrange the letters in
MOTHER IN LAW
It spells out WOMAN HITLER?

Vaskez 11-10-2003 10:22 AM

Amazing. Also, did anyone ever notice cloud has "your" instead of "you're" and "Manic" instead of Maniac" in his sig? :D

Ronn_Bman 11-10-2003 10:26 AM

ROTFLMAO :D

cloud ff7 38 11-10-2003 10:27 AM

I saw it too but im too lazy to change it. But thanks for pointing out how stupid I am

Zuvio 11-10-2003 10:31 AM

It's not very nice to nitpick on people Vaskez. And it's even worse being a pedant. You don't know where he comes from and if he really IS from a english-speaking country, it's still not very nice. The best you can do is point out the errors and help him change it. It was my understanding that the policy here is to be open-minded about mult-culti....

Melusine 11-10-2003 10:37 AM

Aww come on, that's just how grumpy Uncle Vaskez is. If people are dyslectic or non-native speaking we're always understanding about it, but there's nothing wrong with pointing out an error mate.

RevRuby 11-10-2003 10:38 AM

ummm...zuvio he is from an english speaking country, ever hear of the united states? and i don't think vaskez was being mean, i think he was doing that chummy thing of saying "great you can notice that but not this?"

cloud admitted to being too lazy to do anything about, so let bygones be bygones....

cloud it is amusing that one can get that from mother in law, i rather like my mil, but i know my husband hates his..lol

Lighten up dude, knowing Vaskez a little, i'm sure it was a joke. At least it gave me a chuckle. :D

I think I warned you on this before. It's really lame to pick on spelling on a FORUM. I won't warn you again.

Stormymystic 11-10-2003 11:07 AM

Zuvio I learned along time ago to not say anything to Vaskez, it is almost like feeding bears ;) once you feed them, they are going to bug you for life, see how he treats me? :D
p.s. Vaskez, just picking.... but I know a way to insult him zuvio :D
and as for Woman hitler, to bad that is not talking abou tmy mother, I love my mother in law more than my own mother

Firestormalpha 11-10-2003 11:37 AM

Oh come on, You guys and gals should know by now, that the most fluent speakers of the english language are NEVER native to english speaking soil. :D

Writing is a beautiful art that people bastardize all the time. Surely I have a right to have a bit of a go at people lightheartedly? It was harmless picking, come on, nearly everyone else saw the funny side, lighten up a bit mate See what I think is lame is not bothering to learn your native language writing properly, unless you have a medical condition stopping you from doing so...

But anyway, you know me, I'm just a lame-ass grouchy annoying bastard....

Donut - Oh yeah guess I must've been seeing things :D

Don't worry, I'm very open-minded about multi-cultural stuff. I'm from eastern Europe living in England and have english, hungarian, black, asian (pakistani, pndian), german, chinese and many other friends aside from the few people on here who I guess I can also consider friends being from other cultures to my own.

Well yeah, come to think of it, in retrospect that sentence was very inappropriate on my part, since it implies that you are NOT multi-culti, which in fact you are that's how I view you and most people here. So I apologize for that one mate! :D

Revruby, it's an old joke. I think i heard it first on the Benny Hill show 20 years ago. :D

Vaskez 11-10-2003 02:02 PM

Donut, I think your joke was lost on dear Ruby here. :D
Ruby - I wouldn't take everything Donut says at face value :D

RevRuby 11-10-2003 02:06 PM

I'm just saying that the joke has been around for ages, i'm surprised you never heard it before. Ah well.... it's not important anyway, just forget it. :D

RevRuby 11-10-2003 02:15 PM

fine fine i'll let it drop we're way off the subject of the thread anyway.....last time i check thread hijacking wasn't nice.

cloud ff7 38 11-11-2003 09:18 AM

Im confused harrisburgh was closed?????
Never seen that before. Do you know why it was closed? Like maybe a natural diaster or somthing?

Zuvio 11-11-2003 11:05 AM

It's a joke cloud. If you don't know the joke then you don't understand the phrase. PM someone about the clue or something...

Barry the Sprout 11-11-2003 11:23 AM

Talking of Benny Hill this thread does appear to be running round in circles quite amusingly...

Yes it's an old joke, a town or city would have to be very small to be able to close it. It's like saying "I went to harrisburg for a week one afternoon".

Anyway - it was closed. I flew from Heathrow to Newark arriving at Port Authority to catch the first Greyhound out - wherever it was going. It turned out to be Indianapolis, a total journey time from home to hotel of 36 hours. No sleep at all during this time, no drinks or food. We arrive at Harrisburg at 2 am and the Greyhound station is all locked up. Couldn't even get a drink of water. The bus driver was apologetic, it's always locked after midnight. I had to wait until 7 am the next morning, I've never enjoyed a Burger King breakfast as much as I enjoyed that one.

RevRuby 11-11-2003 12:03 PM

okies...i realize harrisburg may not be a big city, infact york is bigger (at least population wise) but i doubt the whole city was shut down.

also bk always makes the best fast food breakfasts, imo.

cloud ff7 38 11-12-2003 10:06 AM

Oh i understand now
that was confusing
my head hurts now im going beddy bye
