Ugh... I just got home from work and basicly I'm shaking like a leaf...

I was walking home, it's around midnight and it's totally dark of course, there are only few street lights in the road I was walking and no pavement. Suddenly car comes by at a very high speed and it's swerving on the road like crazy, and then starts to honk at me, I see it's heading right at me so I literally jump of the side of the road and almost fell into a ditch, and it comes roaring past at probably 90 km per hour... thats way over the speed limit, he didn't stop or anything just drove on.
I'm really wondering if the guy was drunk... or just trying to kill me... ? But I actually didn't feel the shock of it until I got home... I suddenly started shaking and just feel terrible.

wow scary, glad your ok, and did not get hurt, and I doubt he even tought about a plate number, if it was me, I would have done the same think he did, and probably would not have thought either

Hmmm, interesting event Jorath. Today I witnessed a car that almost wrapped itself around a lightpost. Not much happened to the post, but his Acura Integra is totaled. Me thinks the guy was wasted drunk. Good to hear you made out okay.

Hmmm, y'know I hear that the spirit of Ingolfr Arnason sometimes appears at night in the form of an unholy automobile and tries to take the souls of the living back to Valhalla with him... you never know man... this could have been one o' those 'true ghost stories'.

Anyway, I feel better now, the shock is over... but I noticed this morning a big bruise on my calf and a scraped knee that I'm pretty sure is from the "jump"... I didn't notice at all yesterday... [img]smile.gif[/img]

Glad you are OK Jorath and didn't get hit by that irresponsible driver. I understand what you mean re it hitting you later, when you got home. I think when you are in life threatening instances like that, you body and mind are in survival mode, and when you are OK, and safe, then it all catches up and your body allows itself to react emotionally, if that makes sense.
