This may be a repeat for some of you, but I found it to be interesting, if not downright humorous and sad at times...

RESUME
George W. Bush
The White House, USA
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
LAW ENFORCEMENT: I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's license suspended for 30 days. My Texas driving record has been "lost" and is not available.
MILITARY: I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use. By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.
COLLEGE: I graduated from Yale University. I was a cheerleader.
PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:
I ran for U.S. Congress and lost. I began my career in the oil business in Midland, Texas in 1975. I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas. The company went bankrupt
shortly after I sold all my stock. I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money. With the help of my father and our right-wing friends in the oil industry (including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I was elected Governor of Texas.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR:
I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the Union. During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden city in America. I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in
borrowed money. I set the record for the most executions by any Governor in American
history. With the help of my brother, the Governor of Florida, and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President after losing by over 500,000 votes.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:
I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one billion dollars per week.
I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury. I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history. I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12-month period. I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the U.S. stock market. I am the first president in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record. I set the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one year period. After taking-off the entire month of August, I presided over the worst security failure in U.S. history. I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical Bunker Buster," a WMD. In my State Of The Union Address, I lied about our reasons for attacking Iraq, then blamed the lies on our British friends. I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S. president.
In my first year in office over 2-million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month. I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period. I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than any president in U.S. history. I set the record for least amount of press conferences than any president since the advent of television. I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed. I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history. I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families -- in war time. I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people) shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind. I've broken more international treaties than any president in U.S. history. I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in U.S. history. My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her. I am the first president in U.S. history to order an unprovoked,
pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. citizens, and the world community. I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States government . I am the first president in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission. I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.
I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. prisoners of war" detainees) and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention. I am the first president in history to refuse United Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election). I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations. My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. history. My political party used the Enron private jets and corporate attorneys to assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court during my election decision. I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against investigation or prosecution. More time and money was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating one of the biggest corporate ripoffs in history. I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history.
I am first president in history to have a majority of Europeans (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security. I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts. I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein to justice.
RECORDS AND REFERENCES:
All records of my tenure as Governor of Texas are now in my father's library, sealed, and unavailable for public view. All records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and my bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view. All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-President, attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.

Please consider my experience when voting in 2004 -
Send this to every voter you know.

Rather apropo that as I'm posting something about Bush, the David Bowie tune, "Scary Monsters" comes on the radio...

Did you make this all yourself or get it from a site?
Either way its a good list to show how much you hate america. Give the guy a break.

Why do so many people assume that disliking Bush means hating America? I just don't get it. Last time I heard the right freedom of speech and freedom of opinion was still allowed in America. How can exercising these rights mean you hate America?

Poll about Bush

madjim 10-27-2003 11:42 AM

This reminds me of when I was in university and I had to hear some 18 year old twit that never went any where or did anything and that was living at home with "mommy" complain that that Dan Qualye was a moron.

My retort was " When you graduate from Law School, pass the bar and get yourself elected senator" - you may refer to him as a moron - other wise SHUT THE F___ UP!

Like him or not, Bush graduated from TWO of the best schools in the country(Harvard AND Yale) and was a Fighter pilot - which is more than %99 percent of the people that use this board WILL EVER DO!

Mad Jim

PS American foreign policy has been for to long been modified to fit the desires of people WHO DONT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. The EU and the UN can go to HELL!

Ahkay, great, from now on, no one should be allowed to bash anyone they're not as educated as... ... and why is it such a great thing that he went to two schools?

Don't even think about it, matey boy. The US may remake the world but we all have to live in it. A little courtesy, even a little give and take, wouldn't go amiss.

I don't think that either Quayle or GWB are morons - however they both seem to have an incredible skill in saying the wrong (stupid) thing at the wrong time.

Doh, you mean they are human?!?!

I would hate to be a public figure that has a brain fart every time I step up to the podium.

bahahahah He only got in because of his name. As the the fighter pilot bit, well for most of his stint in the Texas Air National Guard he was AWOL. How many combat missions did he fly?

Simple, because accusing people of hating America if they disagree with its contemporary leadership is a grenade designed to get people's heckles up and get the discussion flying in all sorts of weird and violent directions :D

Also, as an individual, cloud ff7 38 has a history of being a bit of a troller ;)

You're not a troller? Maybe you're just rude and judgmental.

Larry_OHF 10-29-2003 03:46 PM

It's getting too heated in this thread. I don't know if it should even be in GenCon, but it will be locked if people don't calm down.

All GenCon Mods have been receiving "report post" messages about this thread. Play nice or we're taking the playground away.
Cloud, first of all Hierie shouldn't have called you a troller - you're not, as far as I know. So chill out. But in the interest of clarifying (for you and everyone else here) one thing - you're welcome to respond to any post you like as long as you do so in a polite and respectful manner, even if you disagree with the post. If you are unable to do that then I'd appreciate it if you kept your mouth shut.

That said, I think we're all getting a bit sensitive about things. This was meant to be a joke for goodness sake - lighten up!!! Life's too short to get offended over everything. :D

You have just proven Donut's 9th Law of Internet Forums.

I don't think cloud ff7 38 is a troller. But remember, he has only just turned 15, so some of his comments are somewhat child like.

Being told by a 15 year old that you don't have balls is a bit rich though! ;)

ANyway, that resume is too funny. Don't have that much against Bush as I have against his politics. Does that mean I hate America? :D

Cerek the Barbaric 10-30-2003 09:48 AM

It's no secret (or shouldn't be by now anyway) that I am a staunch conservative and supporter of Bush, Jr. I admit this "resume" raised my hackles a bit when I first saw it over in C.E., but then I just got a good chuckle out of it. Most of the stuff on there is either half-truths or twisted variations of actual events (or they just omit certain relevant facts).

For instance, the part about Bush trading Sammy Sosa from the Rangers. Sure it looks like a foolish move now, but what many people don't realize is that Sammy was NOT a disciplined or productive hitter for the first several years of his baseball career. In fact, he was considered an easy strike-out by most opposing teams until just a couple of years before he and McGwire competed for the home run title. It was the batting coach for the Cubs that finally got Sosa to be more disciplined and less of a "free swinger". So trading him several years before that probably seemed like a good move at the time.

Also - as for the recurring AWOL accusations - I looked up a link to that incident over a year ago when it first appeared on the forums. The fact is that Bush was never AWOL!!!! Sorry, I know it's fun to accuse him of it, but the whole incident centered around the paperwork not being processed and forwarded to the appropriate military supervisors. Once all the paperwork was collected together, his whereabout could be accounted for during the entire "absence".

That's just a couple of examples of the nitpicks I have with the resume'...still, it IS done in good fun and should be taken as such. Like I said, as much as I support Bush, I got a chuckle or two out of some of the things on here.

So let's lighten up and just have fun with it. ;)
