the original thread is here

the previous thread is here:

Cloudy's Cafe

Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself

Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good
darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie.

The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:

this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone

* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner

* any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences)
-a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short
conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately!

* Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!)

* do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it.

Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course!

The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by.

Cloudbringer 10-21-2003 11:09 PM

Better late than never! Just as I was posting this originally, I got a 'page not found' and then had to get back to work.

 PLEASE NOTE

This is a modified reminder that I've posted before in reply to someone asking "can we spam the cafe". It still holds true, so I'm going to repeat it periodically for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Read the first post of the thread, it's NOT a spam zone. If you want to discuss you grades, a problem with a teacher, the weather, your neighbor's new car etc.....etc.. (real life conversations) this is the place. I don't mind a SMALL amount of spam but when the Cafe gets to be 8 pages in one day and it's all one liner pure spam, I have to ask people not to do it because most of the members who would come to talk about their day or things that they want advice or sympathy or cheers on, will not post in that atmosphere. I want you to be comfy here, but not at the expense of other members.

So the answer is NO, I don't want to see page after page of roleplay spam or one liner spamfests that could be done on msn or aim etc. because our goal is to TALK WITH one another , not fill up a cafe in five hours. ;)

lol, you are also the wrong gender ;) it is for mothers, to allow us to work from home, and it works on a matrix wheel, for every 5 people under me in my buisness, I get a sum of their money :D plus, anything I do, I get money from that, it just goes on and on and it is so easy, a child could do it, all you do is set up accounts for a company, and if they decide they want a peice of the pie, i set them up with that :D and make money off of them and off their people, and off their peoples people, make sense?

A plane ticket halfway across the Pacific. That's right, halfway. :D

Gangrell 10-22-2003 12:02 AM

Ok, let's say you're not lying ( ), how many banks did you have to rob to put that much money in your shoes?

Nanobyte 10-22-2003 12:10 AM

Is this 100 questions? Just accept the fact that my total lack of clarification has given you enough leisure to pick and choose a decent response, and if you had any ounce of sympathy left in you, you'd recognize me for the fool that I am. :D

Oh, I knew that a long time ago, I've just been dragging it to irritate you and make you admit it :D

Nanobyte 10-22-2003 12:18 AM

You should have just asked me to begin with, I have no problem admitting it.

Firestormalpha 10-22-2003 12:35 AM

Gee Whiz, guys your dragging this out longer than the time it would take me to decide if I was going to ask a girl out or not. Honestly that's not a good thing.

Stormymystic, is this multi-level marketing or a modified broker/agency business? You'd have to be wary about involving yourself with the former (a lot of your profit winds up being funneled up the ladder to those above you), but the latter is a much more stable--and potentially profitable--venture. Good luck!

ummm, not sure, lol, I do know that the profit I make is mine, I get 30% on my own account set up, and 7 % on those below me. Say I set you up an account, and you decided to become involved with the company on a buisness level, I get money on the products you buy, plus, I make money on the people you sign up as well, there for, say I have 5 people under me, that is 30% of each persons monthly useage of the company, say each person spends $50, that is $15, which turns into $75 a month, and suppose each person under me brings in people who do the same, at 7% that becomes $87.50 add that to the $75, becomes 162.5, this is just an estimate, because I myself spen over $100 on their products, lol, but it is good things, that I buy anyway, just safer for the envoirment, now you understand? or is it even more complicated?

P.S. i am not advertising my company :D just trying to explain how I am able to do it, and make money off of it, I am making money, surprise surprise, and each month, I will make more

Lady Blue03 10-22-2003 01:30 AM

Um, SG, I can't really sympathize with your post. The thing about "fooling with their women" or whatever...well, that would make anyone mad, especially after you beat them in football...the #1 middle school team...and they date high schoolers! Freshman no doubt....wooo mommy take us to the movies! *snickers* sorry, just find that funny

Hey firestorm, Chris likes you, just ask her out bro! I'm sure she'll say yes :D

Well, my brain is sufficently fried for tonight (damn studying). Hows everyone else?

Azred 10-22-2003 04:10 AM

Oh, commission-based sales. The real difference between MLM and broker/agency is found by asking this question: at some point in the future do you "break off" into your own reasonably independent organization within the overall structure or do you simply move up the residual commission ladder as you add more people in your group? If you "break off" then you are in a broker/agency; otherwise, you are in MLM.
That being said, commission-based sales can be tough (I certainly didn't get too far on my first test flight ) but very rewarding financially. I look on the bright side--I still have a license to sell life/health insurance and I need only the exam fee to earn a license to sell securities/annuities.
In either case, stick with it. As my former RVP says, "financial independence hurts".

Now that I've bored most everyone else in the Cafe, I'll stop talking about business.

Dreamweaver is so much more than that and is also available in WindowsTM and *nix formats. Don't let the MACromedia name of the company fool you. Have fun playing with it.

Cloudbringer 10-22-2003 05:26 PM

Great news, RevRuby! Bet you'll be glad when they can confirm it, though! My boss is having a girl but she told us that a neighbor of hers had a baby recently and was told it was a girl and she ended up having a boy!

Link 10-22-2003 06:51 PM

Well not yet I've only just gotten it LadyBlue and I need to adjust my strategies (how can one adjust mass your forces and try to crush the resistance tactic??)

Also, my Geforce 2 MX 200 - yes I know it's awfully bad - tends to make my game crash every once in a while.. Dunno if it's a good idea to play online then :(

Stormy, I really wish you well with this project, but if it ever comes to you sending out more money up the chain, can you do us a favour and post a thread on this forum before you do. Some people may be able to offer advice or insight in to what is happining. It wont be against the TOS of this forum to mention the company. We dont want to see you hurt OK ;)

Stormymystic 10-22-2003 09:31 PM

ok wellard, but I promise, i have checked everything out, and they are a good company, if for nothing other than their products, I can honestly say, I use their body wash, and am allergic to alot of brands, but not this, and it is non toxic, so if the kids get into it, they are not harmed, like they would be in other brands, thanks for the concern
