Hello! I am new here, I was wondering how to put an avatar up? I went to my profile and added the link for my picture, so how? Thanks for your help

The avatar on your left is not one that can be changed apart from time spent on the board posting. It is a reflection of how many posts you have.

Hyperion, if you're talking about getting a pic to load in your sig. then I believe you need to put the address of the desired image in the space in your profile. Reread the rules and regs. to make sure you aren't going to go over the size limit. Also, just in the random event that you don't already know, though you probably do, the desired picture must be hosted on the internet.

Oh ok, yeah. The image below your name changes as you make more posts. Just don't do anything crazy like spamming to get a cool looking Avatar. Other than that have fun.

As they were saying, you get no image below your rank... your rank IS your image. Those Waterdeep guard shields are what it's at right now. When youi pick up some posts, it changes. Eventually, you get nasty ugly things like the Magister, which is what I have right now.


I honestly want to spam it up to get rid of it. >_<

The best way to get you avatar changed is to do lots of spamming. One word posts, random bumping of old threads, plenty of "what's your favourite colour" threads, how do I kill Kangaxx, who is number one etc!

It worked for me!

BTW - there is an award every month for the person who increases their post count the most!

What is that reward? Spamming member of the month?

best way to get a cool pic everyone will see with you posts is in your signature. ppl to ask for help with that include myself (for simple things like my own) and deathkiller for more complex things. i do not host tho i get him to host for me, so if you go through me you still go through him....kwim?

anyway i know htere are some others who play with sig pics and stuff, but i can't recall their screen names off the top of my head. good luck, and welcome.....and please don't spam.

You could always start a thread on religion and reply to every single person that posts to the thread. That would certainly up your post count [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Inside of your signature you use UBB code. You first must have your picture uploaded to the internet, and have the URL for it.

Then you place the image inside of [img] and [/img]

If you want a place to host images quickly and easily I recomend you try www.tripod.lycos.co.uk if you don't already have webspace which offers remote hosting.

If you don't feel like making your own account, E-mail your signature pic to me and I'll then E-mail the code to put in your signature back to you.

I'm also going to make a thread where I'll be giving out 12 Haloween themed sigs, if you'd like one, just ask for one in the thread.
