I'd be interested to know everyone's favourite moment from the Baldur's Gate series, be it dialogue, battle or easter egg.
Mine would have to be clearing out Bodhi's Lair for the first time, using the Azuredge. Lassal meets me in the spike room, and says "It will be a pleasure to eviscerate you for my Misstress' glory" and runs towrds me, a puny mage. Minsc steps out of invisibility behind him and throws the axe. Ker-chunk and Lassal lies dead upon the floor in less than second. Mwahahahaha!!

hmmn mine would have to be in the drow city....'this eye tyrant hasnt been beaten in four years' my guy steps in cuts up its face with twin swords and walks out'*something about being potent*' woo power to the human in disguise drow are pussies man!!!

So here was my party in Suldanesslar, and we meet this stuck-up black Dragon. Since it was my first time meeting him, I buffed up everybody on spells and potions. Feeling pretty safe now, I talk to the Dragon and engage in a fight with him. My Sorcerer had an Agressive Mage AI Script on and he fired a Finger of Death.

*BOOM*

There goes the Dragon... I spent more time getting ready than actually fighting the darn thing! [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Most Memorable

Beating Kangaxx on my own, without the aid of any hints or spoilers. Got him on my ninth try, I had 5 members imprisoned, so my Sorcerer casted a Freedom scroll and a neutral Keldorn dealt the killing blow with Carsomyr.

I did not get any experience points, but the Ring of Gaxx more than made up for it.

Smacking Jon Irenicus and his demons around with Mountain Bears. [img]tongue.gif[/img] I was casting healing spells on the bears for crying out loud. ;)

There are many other memorable fights I had, but these were the first that came to mind. If I tried to list down everything... it will take too long.

most favorite moment was talking to the observer beholder in the Sahuagin city, absofrickin hilarious

My absolutely favorite scene had to be the grand finale, the final battle in ToB.. The soundtrack was amazing.
My favorite dialogue would have to be with the Spectator Beholder.
My favorite sidequest? Hm.. The Nether Scroll comes to mind.
Favorite ten seconds? Having Bhodi tell me I live as long as she tolerates it, then casting Sunray and killing her.. Tying with that are killing Irenicus after he tells me I was but a gnat compared to his power.
Favorite stronghold? The De'Arnise Keep, only because it had all those nifty little containers.
Most Disappointing: The fact that you can't be an official Harper, a Zhent, or any of those other societies. THAT would be awesome.
Most gratifying: Clearing out the Twisted Rune solo with difficulty on Insane.. Although I did have ToB installed, so I was able to cast Spellstrike and such.. But still..
One of my favorite surprises: "This is Tiax. Not much is known about him; he was found raving on the side of some road."
Tie for most gratifying (MAJOR, SUPER DUPER, WILL RUIN ToB FOR YOU FOREVER IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED IT YET SPOILER, LOOK AWAY QUICK!)

When I figured out that my true enemy was Mellisan... Right in Saradush. I suppose it was obvious, but it made me feel really good.. Come on, when someone keeps teleporting away, someone with tons of knowledge, someone seemingly dripping with goodness, and yet you can't get a Know Alignment in edgewise.. But still...

<font color="gold">My biggest and favourite moment was from ToB, when I finally managed to defeat Demogorgon with my solo Cavalier.

Funniest Battle: Searching for the Nether Scroll, finding the lich, than having my main character walk up to him and hit him three times for the kill. [img]smile.gif[/img] He didn't even have enough time to go hostile :D

That would have to be my first time playing...running through and finding Firkraag...i went like HOLY S***...and then i tried to kill him...gave up on the 30th try with a Lv 8-9 party with only a +1 Longsword...who i thought was all mighty at the time [img]smile.gif[/img]

Most memerable fight in ToB....
Draconis...he was so frigginly strong(playing on insane here ppl) using a solo Mage [img]smile.gif[/img]
Took me another 30 tries [img]smile.gif[/img]

My most anti-climatic moment was when I killed firkraag with one hit from my monk. Of course I was using quivering palm.

From TOB - something along the lines of " Tim has magic missle and I have a healing potion". The young adventurers almost made me wet myself laughing.

YES! I forgot about them! On their way to attack a hive of beholders, and Tim says, "Wait, I need to rest and memorize Magic Missile!"

I still like the time I was puttering around in Candlekeep during my first 1 or 2 games of BG1. I took the time to listen to the Chanters in the garden.....

"The Lord of Murder shall perish.....but in his doom he shall spawn a score of mortal progeny...."

And I went, "Hey.........." *flash of insight* :D

my favorite moment has to be when Jan fakes illness in an attempt to steal Boo from Minsc i thought it was the funniest thing in the game personally

I loved it when I tricked the stupid drow lady while the demon goes... "Ah... the Bhaal child has betrayed you" and she goes, "Name here, I will eat your beating..... " and then I book outta there before the demon can kill her! Haha! That feels good. I thought the two fights (especially the one in the elven city) with Jon I. are kinda anti climatic. I was really scared the first time and I beat him with no problems the first time around, then in the nine hells, I beat him on the second try. ^_^

I think it was this morning,
my best warrior got evil and turn against the rest of the party. She kept running after my other characters and they where trying to keep one step out of her way in this little circular room. Round, round, round they went... it was sooo funny! [img]smile.gif[/img]

My favorite moment was killing Sarevok and seeing the end video of BG1, all the children of Bhaal in that room who are left to die hahahaha

Killing Kangax in5seconds or less. I saved the wand/rod that should be used to kill the beholder boss(whts the name) as soon as kangaxx came out cast the rod,and breach or pierce magic? and attacked with minsc,jaheira,yoshimo and me (9thlvl ranger-cleric), and hes history!!

Mine was playing the game ( the whole game) for the first time, just liked every new enemy I encountered, the new equipment, NPC's, dialogues etc.

The method is extremely cheesy, taking advantage of something the designers never intended, but it ain't exactly cheating. Of course, Fiend says he was a Ranger/Cleric in that game, so he DID cheat.

Yup the group reminded me of me when I first got BG1 all those years ago

As for some off my favourite moment here is a small list

- getting my hands on Celestial fury for the first time.
- Tiax in BG1
- The conversations Jan and minsc have if you have them in your party especially the one where jan steals boo
- The Sendai battle in TOB, I really liked the way it was done.

Try fighting improved Abazigal with a solo assasin (I mean 2 dragons 6 baby dragon + Salamanders, not for the fient of heart ;) ), the only fight I have found harder was improved Baltahzar with a solo assasin.
