In the bridge district, near where you find the guy who burried Tirdir, there`s a trapped door. When you open it, and try to go through, it says that there is a curain of darkness that you can`t get through, or something to that effect.
If you have a rogue stone, it will let you in to a very difficult fight against a Lich, a Beholder, a Vampire, a Mage, and a Thief. They drop some VERY good loot

Damit, so many things I missed! Can anyone please tell me where they found this ward stone??

Seraph 07-19-2002 06:53 PM

Its a rogue stone, there are several of them scattered in the game, usually in large tressure caches.

whacky 07-20-2002 01:10 AM

Downunda 07-20-2002 03:55 AM

Hi Whacky, there should be a bunch of angry people in the room including a beholder, if there is no beholder then you may have to use shadowkeeper to get out of there

Pick up the beholder eye, and use the caldron. Then using the spinning thing you teleport you back to Athkatla

Rogue Stones aint exactly the Gem it excists most of, but there are some, yes.
Most of them are located in Spellhold and in the Underdark, but there are also some in Athkatla and the areas around.

yes the rouge stones can be used to remove make-up, or add it, very useful for limp-wristed bards ( ;) ) (I think you meant ROGUE stones) (no offense intended to any members or lurkers of the forum)

I'm quite certain there's a Rogue Stone in the first basement (Just below the enterance cavern) of the dungeon in the Windspear Hills. It's located near the cavernous area in the western half of the map. The cavern it's in is hidden near where you see three monsters bickering and such, so you'll be able to find the door with a thief or an elf.
I'm also certain that there is a merchant somewhere in Athkatla who sells a Rogue Stone. I remember this because come on, it's kinda hard to forget someone selling something like that.

Morgeruat 07-20-2002 12:11 PM

the merchant on the first floor of Mae'var's guild has one for sale

Sir Exxon 07-20-2002 12:47 PM

YOu can also find one among the loot of Merella the Ranger. ;)

See that was the problemo, i was invisible so no enemies popped up, so i tried without invisibility and was succesful, thanks anyways. Plus the game becomes real easy with Chain contigency holding 3 Horrid wiltings. I dont have to do a thing !! YAY for my sorcerer.
