That's right. It was a year ago that I had my heart surgery and I feel.........WONDERFUL! Better than wonderful. I think for the first time in my life I am relatively healthy and probably feel like most people do all the time. I didn't know you could feel so good all the time.

I haven't misses a single day from work in nearly ten months. Something that has never occurred before.

I was literally dying just over a year ago and now I am well and am so thankful.

I just want to say this: if you are always feeling bad, you never feel really good, you are tired or listless all the time, don't just assume like I did that it is just due to stress, overworked, trying to do too much in too little----go to a doctor! You may be very sick and not know it. I was and nobody knew until it was nearly too late.

Go to a doctor and get it checked out. I realize now that not feeling good is NOT normal.

Thank you for being here for me--all of you.

*hugs*

It's my job to make sure she has a good time now that her heart can stand it! It really doesn't seem like a year to me either. I guess all life-changing events are like that. They all feel like they happened yesterday, espewcially if they were good life changing events! :D

Lioness 08-18-2003 10:53 AM

<font color=orange>I'm so glad to hear it!!! That's a real scary thing. I was on the other side of the coin not long after you had your surgery. My wife had some heart problems after the birth of our third. Scaried the Bagezzies out of me. So I know what your family was going through. I bet the love literally flows at your house every day!!! May it always be so!!!

Reeka 08-18-2003 03:22 PM

Actually, I wasn't scared particularly at all. I had to have the surgery because I was dying--there was no choice. I think it was hardest for Bardan to be so far away, worrying and not able to be with me. I was more worried about him than myself.

Faceman 08-18-2003 03:40 PM

It's just wonderful to hear of people who have turned around a miserable situation and restarted into a happy life.
Way to go Reeka!
