what are your favorite things to drink?

Myself, i love milkshakes

I ask because im going to be catering a small party soon and so am looking for directions to go for drinks.
im not sure if were allowed to go alcoholic just yet, but im sure i could probably sneak in a tiny bit and no one would be the wiser (so long as no one drank a whole lot of it!)

Im also going to be preparing the things to eat
probably going to go with a sushi, a hummus + pita bread, a strawberry bread, an irish soda bread, and maybe deli meats/cheeses.
it all has to be good cold or room temp (including the drinks) since theres no microwave or oven or other warming device in there. so itll stay in the cooler i bring till service.

To answer the above question - Coke (accept no substitutes)
Maybe IceTea or some fruity soda.

If it's for a party and you're serving little to no alcohol, how about (fresh) fruit juice? Of course some bottles of Coke and other soda drinks are pretty much standard and will most likely be drunk by most people. I think creating some extra choice/variety would be a good thing, so get some assorted fruit juices in addition to a couple of bottles of coke.

Strawberry smoothies of coarse!

Nothing alcoholic eh? Get your hands on as much Red Bull (or energy drink of choice) that you can and you'll get more or less the same effect. Albeit at a faster tempo. Hope you've got some phat beats.

Failing that, A nice big bowl of fruit punch always opens up a few interesting opportunities. ;)

Well Coke and have some Orange juice with A little Umbrella and ice in it

Oh, I forgot to mention Topshelf Margaritas and Blackberry Schnaaps. I also like the occasion Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi Lemon twist.

Diet Coke or Lager :D Also like blackcurrent + lemonade :D

Timber Loftis 06-25-2003 03:49 PM

Human adrenal juice. :D

Actually, chai and WHISKEY (from Scotland or Kentucky) come to mind.

Gabrielles blades 06-25-2003 03:57 PM

ah well, so much for alcohol in it
teacher refused to allow it even though half the class is in their mid to upper 20s

i was thinking more along the lines of drinks that are made rather than bought

though i suppose i ought to bring along these types of things as well incase they dont like the drink i make

DameonRules 06-26-2003 03:18 AM

Hey what the teacher doesn't konw doesn't hurt her right. well if there is no alchol then tang is always good. Also you can get matinellies sparkling cider. that stuff rules even though it is non alcholoic. or you can make sweet tea that stuff is good also.

If you want to make drinks then how about mocktails (non-alcoholic cocktails)? I did a search on google for recipes and there are lots of sites, for example this one. Also you could mix your own fruit juices using different combinations of fruits and vegetables and a juicer.
