I bought The Matrix this weekend, and oh my frikkin gosh. There is just nothing like taking on a team of swat officers with MP5s in slow motion. Yes, there could be more detailed move executions, and the second analog stick should have been used to free up turning direction from movement as most games (like Halo and MOHF) do, rather than simply using the stick as a scoping button and relegating the all important side-stepping to a "strafe" button. But the intuitive control is amazing and the game is just so much frikkin eye candy. Z, if you aren't there yet, there is simply nothing like taking down vampires in the Merovingian's basement. Staking them in mid-air and everything. Way cool. Or rushing through the freeway chase to be there when Morpheus falls off the 18 Wheeler where he's fighting the agent. Unless you are further than I am, Ziroc, those are not scenes from the 3rd movie we're seeing but rather additional footage shot just for the game. I'm playing through first as Niobe, but I might stop before the end and play as Ghost, just to get both sides of the story to this point. Another Recommendation: I don't know if this game is X-box only (I don't think so), but DESERT STORM is very good. You control a squad of 4 guys -- very nice. |

AWESOME fight scenes..
I heard that game gets pretty repetitive after a while..GO up to the enemy, grab, flip take weapon...repeat.. I have an Xbox. The games I have for it Star Wars Obi Wan, Halo, Azurik, Medal of Honor and a couple of NHL games.. The PC is my main souce for games, obviously. ;) Oh yeah, I have Operation:Desert Storm as well. Pretty nice game, kind of like the Tom Clancy games, but not as technical. [ 06-17-2003, 05:03 PM: Message edited by: Iron_Ranger ] |
I got PS2, I got too many games to list here, many which haven't come out over there yet. hahahahaha !
|
I own an Xbox. I have Halo, Serious Sam, BG:Dark Alliance, Max Payne and Splinter Cell.
|
I have a Gamecube, but that's it. And I don't have that many games, either. I'm deprived.
At the moment, I'm playing through Eternal Darkness and GC version of the Ocarina of Time. |
Got a PS2 and I don't need more...well I aint got the money

I've heard that the games' developer Silicon Knights is working on the Gamecube remake of Metal Gear Solid. Hopefully it will turn out well. Oh....I have a PS2 and GC. |

BTW, I also own Gauntlet: Dark Legacy (By Midway) I really like that Roleplaying game. It's a lot like the Baldurs Gate: DA, but with more moves! You can also find it for $29.99 which is a GREAT buy! :D |

I just finished the Nuke plant (Using Ghost). Damn, that took a long time.. Now, I'm flying through the tunnels with those robot things chasing me. The LONGEST areas were the Sewers and the Nuke plant. UGH! But you're right, that Grand Stairway area was AWESOME! The 3d Modeling was stunning. The suns rays shining in... and those vampire freaks laughing at you and running at ya! A really fun game! |
You're ahead of me,Z, I'm still slogging through the plant w/ Niobe. Oh well, what can I say other that WORK SUCKS.
Anywho, I hear the game is different for each character. Have you tried HACKING?? I went into the hacking menu (works like DOS) and opend up all the movies, bios on all characters, info on guns and cars, etc. I am missing one of the movie playback files, so I'm guessing I'll open it up with Ghost. If you didn't play through with NIOBE, I'm guessing you missed the really cool kiss scene between her and PERSEPHONE. |

Hey, what is the hack code for all the movies? My Wife likes watching the cut scenes and not the game . Any other codes? BTW, I tried to enter 'format A:\' and it didn't do anything.. awwwwe! ;) |
i bought a ps2.. have a couple of games.. its good and they have a good selection of games.

Ziroc and/or Timber, is the Matrix game you're playing the same one available now for PC or is that another version?
I've already heard the PC version is nice, so I'm toying with the idea of picking up a copy, but you guys make it sound really worth the cash. ;) |

Just begin with 11111 or 00000, see how many you got right, and try again using process of elimination. ;) I can't remember whether the B:\ drive itself of the sub-folder (Tools, I think) requires the password, but I'm sure you'll find it. Xbox owner here. I recommend Conflict Desert Storm, Halo, Furious Karting, Splashdown, MVP Baseball 2003, Enclave, Morrowind, FIFA 2003, and Totaled ... those are the ones I currently have. Soon to add Star Wars: KOTOR, Halo 2, Crimson Skies, SWAT 3 (?), and Conflict Desert Sabre.

I don't know if I'd like it on the PC.. the control is SO much better on a console. But, games like Halo are better on the PC.. Any FPS I cannot play on the PS2. Kings Field 4 was a pain in the ass.. I missed mouselook.. I'm not gonna buy a mouse and keyboard for the PS2 eather.. lol, that is funny. |
I own a GC and an X box and only have one game for each: PSO
|
I have a PS2, with the following games.
Final Fantasy X Final Fantasy IX Final Fantasy VIII Gran Turismo 3 Virtua Fighter 4 Burnout 2 Pro Evolution Soccer 2 Metal Gear Solid 2: Susbstance |
I have a Gamecube-The console for people who actually play videogames
Seriously though the X-box is also pretty good but I'm happy with my Gamecube (I.E I cant afford the X-box :D ), and then there's the PS2... Anyway :D Thanks to my Gamecube I have access to- Metroid Prime Zelda-The Wind waker Skies of Arcadia: legends Super Mario Sundshine Resident evil 1 and 0 Wave race-Blue storm ROCKY :D Timesplitters2 (although the X-box version is far better) Capcom Vs SNK2 (again the X-box live version is better!) Smugglers run-Warzones Eternal Darkness Die hard-Vendetta (the PS2 version is superior in this case) Super Monkey ball Animal crossing-(genius) Sonic Adventure 2 battle Tony Hawks 4 Pikmin ...in two days I can play all of these again! My last GCSE exam's tomorrow and I took the Gamecube out of my room :D I never had to do that with my Dreamcast or N64 or any of my other consoles, truly that must be a testament to the greatness ofthe Gamecube ;) Sorry 'bout that, just expressing my opinion :D [ 06-19-2003, 03:34 AM: Message edited by: Sigmar ] |

I have to admit a couple of turkeys snuck into my Gamecube collection, well you've got to learn from experience :D |
Ziroc, did you get the movies for Matrix to work??
|
I also have the Matrix for PS2. it's great, and I know that I'll come back to it in the future. I've completed it with Ghost, but Niobe is tickin me off! :pissed1:
I'm also looking into internet possibilities. Talk of hooking your PS2 up to a current broadband connection with no extra monthly cost is interesting, to say the least ;) |
