Curiosity being what it is, I wonder how much time the people of Ironworks spend playing computer/video games during an average week.

Chewbacca 06-05-2002 10:51 PM

I spend at least 12 hours a week playing video games and probably 20 or more on any given week. I love scrounging for or replaying old games and usually play three to five different games every week. If I have a great new game I will play it every waking hour that I can.

I get bored of games quite quick unless as you say it's a new game that I can really get into, BG1 and BG2, Ghost Recon and Operation Flashpoint have all been a part of this category.
I used to play alot of Q3 but have stopped playing that of late, I'll load it up, play for 5min and get bored.

Now if you took into account the amount of time I spend on IW in a week... :D

In a normal week I probably only get about 6 - 8 hours of gaming time! When I get a great new game, I have been known to do eight hour sessions though (much to my partner's disgust!) Sometimes I forget to eat. It just depends on what game I'm playing.

I'll spend every possible minute I have available (and then some) playing games. See my comment in the "What are you currently playing?" thread for why I'm not currently playing one LOL

I use my pc far too much... i lost count of the number of hrs i spend on it, not to mention playing games on it... er... i think about 14 hrs was/is my max for any one day. vary rarely tho. maybe about 8 per day,. i dunno. like i said ,i dont count

I used to be in a constant gaming-frenzy, especially interplay games like Fallout. One time I had a two week holiday from school and I went two of those days out to party and only because some friends pulled the plug.

Now I work 40-50 hours a week so gaming-time is limited. And even more so because hanging out with the guys and girls is a LOT more important to me then when I didnt work. Still, I manage to put in the 20+ hours a week of gaming time

about an hour a day - usually in the evening

I only get about 2 - 6 hours a week. I'd like more, but I'd just don't have time anymore, unfortunately.

20+, though lately i'm spending more time on the forum than that i'm gaming. If i have a great new game i'm an allnighter, i once started with a game on a fridaynight and played straight until sundayevening without sleeping and eating. The only time i stopped was for going to the bathroom or stretch my legs for a minute.

IW has actually helped cure my gaming addiction.... By giving me an internet addiction I only play about 4 hours a day now

My fave load screen in BG2 is the friendly reminder to eat! Boy has it saved me from a bellyache or two. ;)

I am quite blessed in the sense that my mate spends the same amount of time or more as me playing games. Although conflicts over who gets the PS2 occasionally erupt, thank god we each have our own PC.
