"Cats in the Cradle" will usually do it.

None that have made me cry, but closest to it would have to be "The Dream Within"

I haven't heard this song for so long, Mum used to play it to me when I was a baby to get me to sleep. I didn't find out what it was about 'till I was older.

...when you coming home son I don't know when, we'll be together then

"I Wish You Peace" by the Eagles when I was 16 and my first boyfriend ran away to join the circus without telling me he was leaving...we had been together for a whole year and it hurt that he just disappeared like that. *sniff* He made a great clown. :D

"Cat's In The Cradle" by Harry Chapin when I listen hard and really feel the story.

"How Am I Supposed To Live Without You" by Michael Bolten...that one really got to me as I got older and older, having spent nearly my whole life loving a man from a distance for the most part and up close and personal during the best days of my life. Glad I got over that one!

I can't think of any song that has made me cry or even feel like it for the last seven years or so...I probably just don't listen as closely as I used to, I know I don't listen nearly as much anymore, esp since the radio in my car died. Its been harsh but I am almost used to it now.

I'd have to say that I almost start crying whenever I hear any Top 40 commercial rubbish. Eminem, Britney and the rest. Makes me want to just break down and cry like a baby!

Why can't truly good music be appreciated and rewarded?????

The closest I've come to crying was a song called Last Kiss by Pearl Jam, though originally by J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers. It always chokes me up. Pearl Jam did a nice job on it.

Little Merle has a voice that makes your tear ducts want to open for some reason... when she sings anyway...
this is one of those songs (link may be broken)

Probably barbars adagio -reminds me of Nam

Deep Inside of You by Third Eye Blind.
I pretty much love all of Third Eye Blind's songs, so every time I listen to them I pretty much feel like sobbing like a baby.
Probably has got something to do with what I associate them with, sorta like how songs can sometimes remind you of things or places where you first heard them, or where you were repeatedly exposed to them. They just take up a place in your head, triggered every time you listen to a song..and if that place is a sentimental memory..

<font color="yellow">"The Little Girl"</font> by John Michael Montgomery

<font color="yellow">"These New Shoes"</font> a Christmas-song by another country artist...can't remember who off the top of my head, but it will DEFINITELY make you cry.

the dutch national anthem makes me wanna cry of disgust, never heard any lyrics more stupid than that !

Neb 06-06-2002 11:04 AM

My older brother used to break down in some serious tears back in the 60's whenever this played on the radio.

Cat's Cradle is the one about the Ireland Conflict, right? If not, ignore my next few lines, I'll only make a fool outta myself.

Being of Irish blood (but hey, I don't have the accent :)Cat's Cradle ALWAYS upset me. Strongly. I really broke down into tears whenever I heard it. I was severly saddened and depressed. :(

Bahamut 06-06-2002 02:26 PM

"One Last Cry" by Brian McKnight

"It Might Be You" by Steven Bishop

"3 Libras" by A Perfect Circle

"Movies" by Alien Ant Farm

"Once In A Lifetime" by Craig David

This depends on my mood... and if I hear some senti songs when I am really really depressed that could do.. but these make me sentimental and well you get the pic...
