soooo lonely *sigh*

curious - where in the world/how in the world does anyone meet people to hang out with? seems like theres no one irl thats nearby enough to hang with.

johnny 04-26-2003 11:55 AM

Well, if you stay indoors, you defenitely won't meet anyone. Shut down your computer, get outside, walk into a bar, meet people. It's really not that difficult. :D

Gabrielles blades 04-26-2003 12:00 PM

hehe bar people arent the kinda people i want to meet unfortunatly (especially considering im anti-drinking)

not really a party person either

where would i find people who like rpgs anime and such to hang with?

Lioness 04-26-2003 12:01 PM

Ask random people you pass on the street the meaning of life. *shrugs* That's how I meet people.

That's not meeting people, that's scaring people away. :D

It´s strange...the more people that lives on this planet the more lonely we get.

Is that why they looked at me funny and walked away? :(

Gangrell 04-26-2003 12:13 PM

All the friends I've got are at my school, and if they knew half the stuff I like, they'd just look at me weird Another reason why I like people on the internet more, more open-minded :D

Is that why they looked at me funny and walked away? :( </font>
of course. That's just a scary question to which nobody knows the answer anyway. Next time ask a normal question, like, got some money for me ? Something like that. :D

cormack 04-26-2003 12:24 PM

The girls like it when our crew whistles at them, you could try that. Yelling "hey baby" seems to work also when your going up against the pretty ones

 If you want (something I won't mention here) maybe, but if you want a decently intelligent conversation, might I suggest a different tactic?

Johnny: But that's an equally unanswerable question!

I don't know how old you are or if you're at school or whatever. The serious answer is that you need to join a club to do with whatever you like. Clubs often have general socials next to their normal sessions so your hobby and social life is solved.

try chatting?? or go out and enroll yourself into something your interested in.. like workshops or sports.. you get to meet people there.

cormack 04-26-2003 12:37 PM

Sure Lioness, I am always open for suggestions. Come to think of it not many of the guys get dates this way either.
Grocery stores are an idea then. Just run your cart into the girls you want to meet then say hello. Not to hard thow.

Reeka 04-26-2003 12:43 PM

Well, are you on any chat programs? You need to be if you want to talk to people online. You may want to join some other forums, too. I actually have more people on line to hang with than I know what to do with.

Mate, I'd be looking for people who aren't necessarily like you. As long as you're looking for another you, you'll spend a lot of time looking, and find someone who clashes in a ll the same areas, has the same weaknesses and already knows what you know.

Find some people who are different. Who aren't into rpg and anime. So you don't like partys and bars? a lot of people who go to parties and bars don't either! Find the person who's sitting alone looking like they're not having fun, and go offer to cheer them up by having a chat. What have you got to lose?

Sports, music and church are great ways to meet people and make friends as well.

Stand on the street with a crowbar and threaten to hurt them with it unless they become your friend,
Never tried it myself but i'd like to, mass murder with a crowbar sounds like fun,
Anyway tell me how it goes,
Felix

Tancred 04-26-2003 08:16 PM

My personal favourite ha to be "Nice shoes..."

Bahamut 04-26-2003 09:25 PM

Tancred... :D

johnny: if you ask them money, you WILL scare them away... I'd rather you say, "hey nice shoes..." LOL

I'd suggest just break out. it is mainly what everybody's saying. :D

hey, it is not normal here to do that... damn... hmmm... what if i just did that... approached someone, talked to her... oh i did... it ends up to be quite a nice friendship... on where if I did something (since she is female), something special might have happened. so there... just talk to people! :D

RevRuby 04-26-2003 09:34 PM

got a game/comic store near by? a place like that might let you leave a sign or note for gaming group. our one close game store let's ppl do that. and if all you're into is comp rpg's, try a gamestop, or electronics boutique. also maybe a new hobby. i've also found standing in a long line for a long time for things like movies or concerts starts up some of the best random conversations.
