ok i was just wondering what SOME Americans(i think thats right spelling) have against us Canadians like myself?

just for an example, i while back i used to play neopets(glad i quit) and on my sig i would say and i quote "I AM CANADIAN!!!, AND PROUD TO BE IT!!!" now on a daily baises i would get flamed i would recieve junk hate mail saying that i was a "Dumbass idiot who should just leave and never return" so i was being made fun of for being Canadian (i bet i was smarter then all of them put together)

so again i well say what do SOME Americans have against us Canadians?

P.S. this was before the Iraqi "Conflict"

P.S.S. i also have nothing against MOST Americans, there are some exceptions like the flamer i was posting about above.

I don't have anything against Canadians Dude, and most that just say that are just trying to get you ryled up. Actually, I never really understood whats so bad about Canada either, nice country from what I hear. As I've said in other posts, people that say that kind of crap are narrow-minded and don't really have much to do except argue with people whom they've never met on the internet. Just ignore it, and talk to people that are actually worth your time [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img]

I'd love to move to Canada when I retire.Actually Nova Scotia,my sister just bought a beautiful place in Margeretville(spelling) and she keeps telling how wonderful everyone is there.I hope to visit this fall.You want to see rude just visit L.A.My only trip to Canada was in the 60s when we drove up to Toronto.To far back to remember much,then again those were the 60s most of that still seems a blur..

A canadian on this forum I am leaving I cant stAND THEM .....not just joking. i don't have a clue why some people have some grudge against canadians. I have one canadian friend. Heck I have been to canada nice place.

Actually, I've never seen any real Canada bashing on the net. Maybe I've just led a secluded life. All I've ever encountered has been lighthearted joking between friends. That's not to say that I don't live in fear of the Canadian Invasion Force. :D

I've got to tell you that to me, Canadians are just about the most inoffensive people in the world. All the Canadians I have met are just great. I really don't know where this is coming from, but I don't think it is the opinion of the vast majority of Americans.

Here is a true story that happened to me about a year ago, in Asheron's Call.

Evey once in a while when I was bored, I would go to a newbie area and twink some newbies (cast spells on them, give them items, tank monsters for them,... to help them level).

That day, the area was almost empty except for a guy. I spent almost 3 hours helping him, and used up almost all my spell components doing so.

Then we got a little bored and went to a safe area to chat a little. This is about the conversation we had, as far as I can remember it:
I've seen lots of people bash Canadians. But I mostly see it as some juvenile crowd mentality. They are just saying that because it's the "cool" thing to do, but that one guy from Asheron's Call did offend me. I just spent an afternoon helping him. He could have showed some gratitude.

Well, I love Canadians. I go to Toronto several times a year for small vacations (it's about a 3 1/2 hour drive). Plus, it's a cheap way for me to get to see the Yankees play without having to drive all the way to NYC. Plus, Toronto's very clean, and I love the Younge St Festival!!
So, you have friends in upstate NY.

maybe some idiots think it is safe to bash canadian's. they actually have a higher standard of living than us in the u.s. and who better to bash than those that think they're better than us? i don't think it's right, but it's something they maybe thinking. personally i have a friend up there, only know her on msn messenger, but she's cool, we talk about kids...normal, nothing different between us. oh well, i dunno why it happens and on behalf of all the americans who think it's awful to bash canadian's i apologize.
