Xero,Didn't ya see the picture on the table?Thier Bhall priest!
|
Thats somthing I always wanted to know myself.
TOB SPOILER a friend of mine thinks they are supposed to be the five (the bhaalspawn from TOB) but there are 7 at the table and they are all male and all human so I doubt that my self. |
I thought they were candlekeep people. Don't ask.
|
hmm i thought they were some kind of gods or something... lol i guess no1 knows and everyone just thinks something different
|
I believe they were meant to be Priests of Bhaal, working toward his resurrection. BioWare may have meant to work them into ToB, but apparently didn't get around to it. Someone should write a MOD that includes them.

Im glad to see im not the only one lol |
What are those monsters that attack Irenicus? They look like you do when you turn into a slayer. Also, how come Irenicus couldn't use his magic?
|
those are just demons, they arent supposed to look like the slayer. Remember, Irenicus tryed to use his magic, but he was drained of energy. he heard the demons behind him, spun around, tryed to cast something, then realized he was out. same thing happened when he trys to teleport out of hell when he almost dies, he cant
|
Well, I suppose that's the verison of purgatory that he ends up in after you've defeated him. After all, he's dead, isn't he?
|
Maybe they are dead Bhalspawn. I guess in hell your powers willŽnot work if they are not hellish in nature. My doubt is: shouldnŽt Irenicus cease existing after you killed him in hell?
|
who knows if we kill him in hell or not. it might end and go to that cutseen when he was one hp left or something, then he passes out and wake up later.

I always thought they were worshippers of Cyric, seeking to prevent Bhaals return.
|
i thinks the mystery of it makes it extra cool

IIRC there was something about this on the BIS forums a while back. It seems that that the Five idea from TOB was what they had in mind. However, it suddenly occurred to someone when TOB was being made that not all Bhaalspawn have to be a playable race (i.e., Human elf dwarf half-elf gnome halfling or half-orc)

you guys said something about sendai... does that have anything to do with the character sendai of amn from BG 1 or is it just a recycled name?

No, they could not be Pit Fiends because Pit Fiends are around 25 feet tall. The ones in the cutscene were the same size as Irenicus.
|
ya, plus pit fiends have like 4 or 6 arms (i cant remember which), then 2 legs. those things walked on 4 legs

For Internet access, I go to the library (fast connection, no floppy-drive access) and my Mom's (the reverse). My good computer was much better than my current one.
As for the Sendai thing, a lot of names were recycled from BG1 into BG2; One theory I've heard for this is that while BG was being developed, there were message boards full of ideas for the project, and frequent contributors were rewarded by being allowed to design minor characters, frequently using the same names that the contributors used as screen-names. Khalid El Haitami (or whatever his name is), the guy who throws his might Scimitar at your head, is supposed to be one of these. Names that I can think of offhand that show up twice: Sendai: In BG1, an arrogant Amnish b----. In ToB, a whiny Drow b----. Bodhi: In BG1, one of the (wrong) passwords into the Thieves Guild is "Bodi." In BG2, well, you know. Hareishan: In BG1, a Mage working for Davaeorn. In BG2, a Vampire working for Bodhi. Brennan Risling: In BG1, a citizen of BG city who likes to talk about ships. In BG2, a cowardly Thief. Jon Irenicus: In BG1, a horridly obese woman named Centeol says she was cursed by "the archmage, Jon Icarus." |

one of my friends who completed it said they were cowled wizards who all along had worshipped bhaal, does that make sense?

I always assumed the creatures that attacked Irenicus were demonic kobolds.. They have the tails, they're about the right size, and they travel in hordes.
