What do you usually have for breakfeast ? I want to know :D

Attalus 03-20-2003 09:23 AM

Well, it varies. Right now, I have discovered a little place that serves bean chalupas and I have a couple of them. For those who do not know, a chalupa is made by taking a toasted corn tortilla, putting beef or, in my case, refried pinto beans, frijoles refrito on top, then covering them with shredded lettuce and cheese, then topping the whole thing with salsa picante, or sauce made with chopped tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, and cilantro. Mm-me! That's good eatin'. ;)

Shouldn't this go in the war forum? ;)

Masklinn 03-20-2003 09:55 AM

I don't really eat breakfast. I just don't like to eat after I wake up. Usually after a few hours. Plus, being a night cabby does'nt help with the whole breakfast schedule.

Just wondering, why would you want to know?

Stratos 03-20-2003 10:08 AM

Coffee , sandwiches and fruit. Sometimes milk or juice.

Manwe 03-20-2003 10:12 AM

porridge or corn flakes, milk, sandwiches...that's all

antryg 03-20-2003 10:20 AM

Usually I have nothing for breakfast. It is very low in calories and I get if for free. If I really want to splurge I'll have cold pizza. The only problem is having any leftover pizza to get cold. (I still have 2 sons living at home.) :D

Link 03-20-2003 10:29 AM

Low-calory because I need to be 72.5 kg max for my rowing And trust me.... that is hard for me, because I'm like 1.90 :(

Toast.. sometimes fruit

realbinky 03-20-2003 12:25 PM

Weekday, usually a toasted bagel (plain or cinnamon-raisin) with butter or cream-cheese and orange juice. If I feel really hungry and/or low on control, I get a couple sandwiches from McDonalds. On the weekends, if I get up late, I have lunch for breakfast, otherwise cereal, a donut, or I skip it if I can get busy fast enough.

for the last two weeks i've had Labarythitus so i've felt so sick in the mourning even putting a toothbrush in my mouth to do my teeth would make me puke. so recently nothing. before that i didn't eat till 11ish usually and then i had food, any type of food depending on what i wanted. from cereal to chocolate.

Arledrian 03-20-2003 02:11 PM

I often get a ham sandwich, a bagel and some orange juice on the way to class in the mornings. I'm a creature of habit. I should eat at home more though, my life is unnecessarily expensive.

Manwe 03-20-2003 02:13 PM

heh, i remember when i ate porridge while drinking orange juice, that wasn't good at all..... stayed home from school that day *yay*

Kaltia 03-20-2003 02:16 PM

Cereal.
I get worried when I see threads like this. (It's secret surveillance people! Mask's coming for us all! )

In my fantasy - Maura Tierney ;)

In my reality - coffee :(

Sir Kenyth 03-20-2003 02:38 PM

Either a bagel w. Cream cheese, a yogurt with ceral, or a lunchmeat sandwich. I'm sticking to green/herbal tea with honey in the mornings these days along with smaller meals and exercise. My blood pressure was heading towards being high, so I cut back on caffeine. I was indulging far too often the past year and put back on all the weight I lost.

I suppose the blood pressure rise might be due to my girlfreind.

Lord Starshadow 03-20-2003 03:50 PM

I don't eat breakfast because I'm never awake at that time. And even if I happen to be (heaven forbid), I still don't usually eat anything.

For those who must know, my three meals are: Lunch, Dinner, and Midnight Snack (usually around 1 in the morning or so).

UGH... http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/...n_1/repuke.gif ;)

andrewas 03-20-2003 05:18 PM

For breakfast?

Well, if its a slow day Ill take 15 mins out around about lunchtime. Junk food though, no time for anything remotely healthy.

Of course, if its busy, I wont get time for that and have to survive until suppertime. In which case, whatever I can cook. Which isnt much, cos Im a crap cook.

Ronn_Bman 03-20-2003 05:34 PM

Usually 1 egg + 3 egg whites and a couple of pieces of wheat toast.

Sometimes I have grits. :D

Masklinn 03-20-2003 05:44 PM

Thx for all the answers.

Besides Grits-swallowers and Vegemite-lovers, I think you all have a sane and safe breakfast

Yeah, even those who don't eat at all : I've heard a nutritionist saying these wise words : "If you're not hungry, don't eat. Eat when you're hungry."

What a wise man, really :D

Masklinn 03-20-2003 05:46 PM

Oh and don't worry Kaltia. I don't work for any secret organization. My curiousity is my only boss :D

Ar-Cunin 03-20-2003 05:52 PM

orange juice

then more orange juice

whitebread with marmelade

more orange juice

a bowl a youghurt

and finally some more orengejuice

- I can't start my day without orange juice

Gnarf 03-21-2003 03:51 AM

I get up at 6, so sometimes I don't get to eat anything (walking around in a dead-like condition, or deciding to sleep an extra half hour)... but I usually eat cereals, noodles or bread...

Cereals or toast. And usually some juice to wash it all down :D

And no, even though I'm Australian, I don't eat vegemite ;) Loathe the stuff

Donut Pastrysson is right - this topic really SHOULD go to the War forum. :D

Epona 03-21-2003 06:33 AM

I don't often feel hungry in the morning, in fact I generally eat one meal a day.

But occassionally I get the urge for a chocolate croissant and coffee. Mmmmmm.

Sir K - if you're doing herbal tea anyway, lime blossom tea can help lower blood pressure.
