Excuse my ignorance, using BASIC on a sinclair spectrum was my only programming experiance, but have we not just been using ubb code to change our fonts in the main body of the text? and it does state on the info aside your sig box that html is not available but ubb is?

There are just some more restrictions on the sigs in comparison to the normal post part

<font color=skyblue>Font color changes do not work in signatures.
You have to design something outside and link to it.</font> |

Well, there is a way, but I find it kinda annoying. <font color=orange>It happens when you don't put the end tag on the HTML thing in your main text.

heh yeah...

<font color="lightblue">That also messes up the HTML on the page, and can corrupr threads... </font>

There used to be a workround that activated HTML code in sigs if you edited your post. That has now been disabled so you'll just have to make do with UBB code in sigs. If you are interested, here is an old post of mine with a HTML enabled sig

Of course, you can always post what you want to put as your signature in a regular thread in the main body, then screen capture it how you want. Use an image editor to capture only what you want in the sig and then save it as a JPG or a GIF. Then you can call the JPG/GIF using the image function. About a year and a half ago, I did just that. If it's a static txt, the image won't be too big, but you still have to watch out for the image size. You can also try integrating it into an animated GIF if it's not too large (I did that too.)
