I like my user name, and use it on a lot of boards.

But, what about you?

What about the guys with the just stupid names (a few come to mind/I wnt mention!)

Or what about the people who dnt use a capital letter at the start? You regret that? (It would annoy me!)

AND WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO'S USER NAME IS ALL IN CAPITALS? Only seen one person do that! You regret that?

Or are you just content?

LOL Lav, nice topic. (Edit: Thanks for the edit!)
I know exactly what you mean, I would be SO annoyed if my name wasn't capitalised... or spelled like MeLuSiNe or something... ROTFL!
Anyway, I never regretted mine for a second, but I've seen some names where I can't help but wonder..... ;)
But then, I also see quite a few names I wish I'd have thought of myself!

I like my name but I wish that I used a capital

Tancred 01-24-2003 08:25 PM

Mine works for me. Has a nice, robust sound to it. Plus, I can sign my posts off as 'Tanc' and look cute.

Awwwwww! ;)
Pretty cute! :D

Edit because I don't want to put in another post:
Rokenn, Rokken is Dutch for skirts, so I'd never call you that ;)

Rokenn 01-24-2003 08:26 PM

I like my user name, I just wish people would spell it right. It's Rokenn no Rokken

Attalus 01-24-2003 08:29 PM

Melusine, I can understand why you love your name. I love it too, I have already posted why, elsewhere. It makes me smile every time I see it. I love my name, too. I use it on every board that I go to, except my PS:T board, where I am Lord Bel. Attalus is Galadria's husband in my wife's novels, and that makes me smile, too.

cormack 01-24-2003 08:31 PM

I am .. wait a minute

Ladyzekke 01-24-2003 08:33 PM

I don't regret mine, I'm so used to it now after all this time it has become a natural thing now LOL :D

*grumble* If it wasn't for that .sig pic, everyone would think 'Melusine... hmm, screaming spectre of despair...', so there!

Actually I wasn't being sarcastic... it really is rather cute ;)

And when I think of Melusine it's actually more along the lines of "tragic, beautiful, mysterious sea-nymph with a hint of serpent" LOL

Kzonon 01-24-2003 08:39 PM

I like my user name. Been using it since I was 8? (Yes). And because of that people who've met me and know my "nickname" know its me cuz no one else out there seems to use it...unlike the multitude of Raistlins, Ironwolves and Stormgates...(No offence...those are all cool names. )

As for CAPITALS or Lack thereof, I don't really notice. What I do notice are the cool, original names.

I didn't capitalize my user name on purpose. It is because I am so humble.

Cloudbringer 01-24-2003 08:51 PM

I like mine. I first made it up in a hurry just so I could post to a thread on the old board but then decided I really liked it. Memnoch started coming up with other nicks for me, but the one Yorick used "Cloudy" seems to have become the accepted short version.

TheCrimsomBlade 01-24-2003 08:54 PM

I really like the user name I picked and I use it everywhere. I just wish that I had been more alert when I spelled it the first time 6 years ago TheCrimsomBlade it should have been TheCrimsonBlade to many m's OH WELL I can't spell worth a damn anyway so who really cares!

That's funny! I always thought "Crimsomblade" was a typo, but never wanted to assume, so in a few posts to you in the past I always tried to make sure I spelled it right LOL, i.e., "Crimsomblade"! :D

Kzonon 01-24-2003 09:00 PM

ladyzekke may be missing a Cap L but it ain't missing in the sig file...and since I'm on that topic...that must be the best sig file I've seen so far.

Larry_OHF 01-24-2003 09:01 PM

I regret adding the OHF tag to my name.
It didn't used to be there.
I wish I could drop it, but am too afraid to ask Z.

There's no time like the present. You can say it was my fault you asked, I'm only small.

Zyzzyrazz 01-24-2003 09:05 PM

I like my name, I've never encountered anyone else who uses it. There's an interesting story about that...well, it's not so much interesting as it is long.
(Grandpa Simpson quote)

Ladyzekke 01-24-2003 09:06 PM

Yeah, I guess when I re-registered on this brown board, I didn't capitalize the "L", but it kind of makes it a slight bit easier when I delete my cookies and have to re-log in (no caps to worry bout) ;)

Kzonon - Thanks But my sig file wasn't created by me (I'm getting there though ;) ), but made by Sazerac, and he was spot on what I was looking for too

Judas Maccabeus 01-24-2003 09:07 PM

Nah, don't regret it. I get surprisingly few people getting me confused with Judas Iscariot (betrayer of Jesus--tied with Benedict Arnold for most infamous traitor). :D

(Interestingly, one site calls Judas Maccabeus--being the good one--as known for his loyalty. Kind of polar opposites, eh?)

Ack LOL, your name is hard to rememember. Perhaps in the end we will all call you Zrazz or something to make it easier! Can't you give a "small" version, a summary, of how you decided on that name and where it originated from? Just curious

Now I cant stop staring at the M!

Sorry about 3 in a row posts, all posted two mins apart ish. And I'm tired.

Edited for you Mel!

Nanobyte 01-24-2003 11:07 PM

People've told me that nanobyte is a real word. Some sort of computer terminology? It was my misfortune coming up with such a catchy name, for it to come out being a real word..

Cerek the Barbaric 01-24-2003 11:44 PM

I am very satisfied with the name Cerek. I do mildly regret adding "the Barbaric" to it, but Cerek was the name of my favorite PnP character - a barbarian generated using the 1st Edition Unearthed Arcana. Since I originally joined through the BGII forum, it seemed like a natural thing to do.

Memnoch 01-25-2003 12:40 AM

Happy with mine.

Iron_Ranger 01-25-2003 12:52 AM

Yeah I like mine..It means something...sorta ;)

Lord Starshadow 01-25-2003 01:19 AM

I like my name, although I don't like the "Lord" prefix. I had to do it though, because I couldn't register with just Starshadow. But that's what I am everywhere else.

johnny 01-25-2003 01:30 AM

Erm... yeah... i forgot something too when i registered here. :D

I know the original question was whether we regretted our own user name but what if we regret your name Lav? Can we let other people know about that?
