Reffering to the game by Pyro studios. Wanted the second in the series for ages!
I played the first one til it's death, but only got this one today. Had a brief go, looks good! Just wondering what you thought? |
I played the first pretty thoroughly. I remember, particularly, the one level where you're assigned the spy to assassinate one man. It was a good game at the time. I don't have the second however.

Great game, that's one of those games i can't let go. When i got it, i played non stop, until i finished it, took me a little more than a day. Very addictive.

Great game. Finished it a couple of months ago. The game is huge because there are a lot of enemies to be disabled within the building and many of those buildings are huge! The musical score is nice too, especially the ones in the icy land (I think it is north pole of something).
Since most of the members can disble and tie enemies up, the game rewards you by killing as few guards as possible. Oh, I think the topic should be in the Miscellaneous CRPG forum. [ 01-19-2003, 05:23 AM: Message edited by: Paladin2000 ] |
It isn't another RPG. We're allowed to post about other games in General Discussion, as it falls under General Discussion. Ok?
Yeah, I played it last night, and finally completed my mission at 3am. Didn't realise it was SO late! Seems pretty cool though! I'm gonna go for a closer look in about 20mins! |
Especially the molotov cocktails are fun. I threw one one a group of Japanese soldiers who were all standing together, there wasn't much left of them afterwards. :D

Anyway, I favorite tactic is the cigarette-noise maker-distraction. Place a noise maker in a strategic location and then throw a cigarette pack to distract the guard, while he is checking out the cigarette, activate the nosie maker to lure him further away and then... I'm not sure how you call that type of game. It's more like a big puzzle. There are guards all over the place, and they all have a certain line of sight. You have to try and sneak your way into the enemy camp and kill as much enemies along the way. There are already a few games like this on the market. First there's Commando's + the expansion for that game, commando's 2, Desperado's, and most recently Robin Hood hit the stores. Exept for Robin Hood, i've played them all, and enjoyed them very much.

I own Desperados as well. That was ok, but I never finished it. Got near the end, and just got bored. Ah well! I'm on the 2nd real mission, I can't find the keys to the prison! Grrrr. No Spoilors thanx! |
Forget about Robin Hood except you are really a maniac concerning this type of games. There are only a handfull of maps, which you visit over and over again (at least the missions and enemies change) I stopped playing it a week or two ago, because I had to play the same map again, because of a mistake... It's nice in the beginning, but then it becomes really boring. Desperados is way better!!
|
Isn't there are game of this type that will come out soon.. but this game is about Dracula, yes?
|
Borvick, I totally disagree with you. Commandos 2 is an improvement on Desperados, just like Depserados was an imrpovement on Commandos 1.

Lavi, i found these: http://www.pcgameworld.com/screenthu...d_of_Sherwood/

Thanx Johhny.
Liked the look until it went 3d. Now, why DID it do that? Is the game split into strategy/3d? |
On the White Killer (Number 3 - Snow one) mission now, it's pretty cool!
If only I knew where Theify was! |
Sounds like an interesting game. Do you need to play the first one to be able to run the second one?

Next time I play it, I'll try it the way, the designers intended that it's played. |

No problem Cloudy. In case if you were wondering, Commando 2 is better than its predecessor. IMO of course. [ 01-20-2003, 09:32 AM: Message edited by: Paladin2000 ] |
