What do you need to open that link? I've got winamp 3 but that doesn't seem to open it.

Ladyzekke 01-11-2003 06:50 PM

Oh cool Ziroc!

Vaskez - Real Player works fine with it (you can download a free version too, which is what I have)

Nah, I don't like having too many different programs that perform the same tasks. I already have winamp and windows media player I don't need another media player! I wish could just use 1 but many sites need you to have windows media player (which I would never use otherwise). I wouldn't even use winamp as it annoyingly tries to connect to the web so I have to block it with my firewall. But it's got a good media library feature. What's even more annoying is that I have to have a 3rd program to play UMX files which is the music format for some games like Unreal Tournament and Deus Ex. Bah! Why can't one program do it all?

The point is real player would be my 4th - no thanks! Not having a go at you LadyZ, just ranting about annoying lack of a single good program

</font>
Is this Winamp v3.0 a beta? If so, you should be able to play it.. maybe the file associations are not set? let me know!!

PS: I hate MS Media player too.. the OLD 6.7 version was nice, but XP's 7.0 sucks BAD. I could care less for skins or crap.. I like easy play and stop. MS always overdoes it, and screws it up..

winamp3 works fine here.

EDIT> You say your firewall blocks winamp3...? :D

Maybe you've blocked the connection!

EDIT 2> WOW Eighties stuff! Rock on, Z!

No it's WinAmp 3.0 final version, not beta. I'm such a dumbass I answered my own bloody problem in my prverious post! Duh! :D I had winamp3 blocked with my firewall so of course I couldn't open the link! Now it works fine :D If you're playing that smooth melodic song with a bloke singing. :D

BTW I think XP comes with Windows Media Player 8.0 not 7.0. 7.0 is the best version for previous versions of windows. I hate 8.0 because of all the inf it gathers about users and sends back to MS, like what DVDs you watch etc.

Vaskez 01-11-2003 08:25 PM

Ziroc, you won't get me listening to that 80's crap :D Put some hip-hop on or something. :D hehe I bet you won't cos I'll be the only one requesting it, knowing this lot.

Sir Krustin 01-11-2003 08:27 PM

Just so anybody doesn't think I'm a total geek, I like hiphop as well. Old-school rap (LLCoolJ, forex) is great too.

hehe I like some of LL Cool J's stuff. I like some of his newer stuff better, his older stuff sounds quite cheesy these days.

Animal 01-11-2003 08:35 PM

Just listening to Def Leppard's Photograph right now. You are a god Ziroc!

Sir Krustin 01-11-2003 08:57 PM

Hungry Eyes another misty-eyed one...the slow dance at the prom...

Animal 01-11-2003 09:52 PM

A question though, Ziroc. Is this a collection of your personal tunes? If you'd rather not answer, that's cool and if it's so top secret that you'd have to kill me after telling me, then I'll pass. :D

80's crap! 80's crap! Bite your tongue! The 80's was awesome. The advent of MTV led to some really, really bad video's and most bands looked the same, but 80's were awesome!

Ladyzekke 01-11-2003 10:11 PM

I agree, the 80's was my favorite decade for music

I think because it brings back so many great memories.

Ladyzekke 01-11-2003 10:15 PM

Hmmmm, LOL, I think the reel is repeating itself now (or Ziroc really likes this song LOL, it is cool), I heard this particular version of "Cars" a bit ago! :D

GokuZool 01-11-2003 10:30 PM

Bah 80's music :D It's pretty cool though Z!

It's a bit choppy. It plays then stops and then plays. Is this normal?

Animal 01-11-2003 10:33 PM

Actually, all those 80's tunes prompted be to bust out my own MP3 collection. Sorry Z, your IW Radio Network is just too damn good... :D

Are you by chance on dial-up? Nice and smooth on cable.

Sir Krustin 01-11-2003 10:37 PM

I've noticed the odd pause on cable, but only when my HD is busy.

Expect occasional buffering on dialup, especially if your ISP is a local cutrate operation.

Ladyzekke 01-11-2003 10:50 PM

I've had a few buffering problems in the past, but tonight for me it is a nice constant connection (have Cable).

Although that last message that Ziroc said between songs was a bit muffled, I couldn't understand a word he said LOL!

Ladyzekke 01-11-2003 11:01 PM

LOL, well I heard you fine that time Ziroc. Maybe you were too close or far away from your mic that one time. I heard you, but it just sounded so bassey and muffled, I couldn't make out all of your words. You have a deep voice LOL Oh, have you found Shout yet? :D Don't make a big effort to go digging or anything, no hurries no worries, just reminding and asking. ;)

arion windrider 01-11-2003 11:02 PM

Memnoch 01-12-2003 09:06 AM
