X-mas time is coming, and so are nearly half a dozen games I've been looking forward to. And since I'm no millionaire, I'll have to pick. Right now, I have Icewind DaleII, Arx Fatalis, Lord of the Rings(PC)and Divine Divinity on my list. Now, before I buy anything, I'd like some opinions on those titles I. Has anyone tried them yet?

Divine Divinity is VERY good. [img]smile.gif[/img] 5 stars.

Icewind Dale II...also very good. 5 stars.

Don't know about Arx Fatalis or LoTR, but I've heard good things about them.

I've heard some less than flattering comments about LotR. :(

Haven't played Divine Divinity. Ars Fatalis looks interesting but don't have enough info to rate it.

I love Icewind Dale 2. Agree completely with the 5 stars that Saz gave it.

Neverwinter Nights is definitely worth considering if you don't already have it.

If I was to get any of those Arx Fatalis and DD were the only ones. Got other games than those on my list which are more important. Like Master of Orion 3.

Unless you plan to multiplay Neverwinter Nights, I'd say give it a miss. It sucks completely as a single player game. I forced myself to complete it even though I was totally bored with it, and then promptly deleted it from my system. If ever I find anyone who is hot out to get it, I'd be glad to give it to them.

Not that I'm against multiplayer, now, mind you...I play multiplayer with two different groups. I'm just saying that NwN does not stand up well as an SPG.

I vote for NWN even if you don't like the "included" mission or muli-player. There are well over a thousand to download, and you can even create your own.

OOH-OOH! I want your copy Saz! I can't talk my uncle into buying it. He wants it but can't seem to bring himself to spend $45(cheapskate!).
