Tomorrow 31, Oct., 2002 my Oldest daughter the "Princess" Amanda gets married. Her betrothed Steve is a good "Old Redneck Country Southern boy" all tattoed up and looks like he feel in a "tackle box" (pierced for you non Southerners ;) ).
Steve is really a good guy, just like me, despite my daughters best attempts, She found one just like DAD (I shall be avenged :D ). Steve is looking forward to eluviating himself beyond the "pondscum" (any boy that dates one of my daughters) status to the status of "Oh him", He won't reach full status until they give me a grand child. About 7 months ago Steve asked me, after a night of pool shooting and adult beverage consumming, for my blessing in marrying my daughter. So tomorrow night her mother and I give her away.

One down one to go, :D

Congratulations to you! Hope the marriage goes well.

Kewlies at least their children won't forget when Their parent's Aniversery is and buy them a present.

I always forget my parent's Aniversery. :D

Congrates on the new son in-law. Make sure you let us know how things went. With every wedding there is something weird that happens and being on halloween the odds have jumped up.

Better yet, set up a snare-trap inside the cake, and wait for the finger-dipping! :D

Redblueflare 10-30-2002 11:46 PM

Aww... your little girl is getting married, every father's nightmare right? Let's hope no catastrophe's happen, being Halloween and their wedding day.

Nanobyte 10-30-2002 11:47 PM

Well, it depends. If it rains candy corn, is that a blessing or a catastrophe?

Congrats and best of luck to the bride and groom!

Sir Taliesin 10-31-2002 12:18 PM

<font color=orange>Raise a cold one for me Bro! Just think maybe in a few more years you and the Ole Lady will be alone in the house again and rollin' in doe. Congradulations to Steve and Amanda!!!

BTW, On the grand children thing. Here is a direct quote from my dad. "If I'd known Grand Kids were this much fun, I'd have skipped having kids all together and gone straight to the Grand children! You can send them back to their mom and dad when you get through with them."</font>

Charean 10-31-2002 12:21 PM

Happy Wday JD!! Hope you can survive it!!

I wish all the happiness in the world for your family. Enjoy the chaos that getting a new member ensues! :D

Cerek the Barbaric 10-31-2002 12:35 PM

<font color="plum">Congratulations to Amanda for finding a man her dad didn't decide to "shoot on site" (although I would guess the tattooes and piercings made it a close call ;) ).

Congratulations to Steve for managing to live long enought to rise above the status of "pond scum". Now if John D. can just keep him away from any more tackle boxes.

And congratulations as well to Mr. & Mrs. John D. Harris! You're halfway there brother.

*LOL* Seriously though...

My heartfelt Congratulations go out to Steve and Amanda on their very special day. May God always smile on them and Bless them abundantly.</font>

Good luck dude to you and your daughter ;)

John D Harris 10-31-2002 05:35 PM

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. Everybody is running around like chickens with their heads cut off. This is one time it's great to be a Dad all I have to do is say "her mother and I do", and of course write the checks ;) It will be an outside night service, candle lit, Steve's Dad is performing the service.

Sir Krustin 11-01-2002 07:34 AM

Why do mothers cry at weddings?

Girls always marry guys just like their fathers. :D
