Now this is the better thread of your two Canadian topics antryg. Don't incur our mighty Canadian wrath or we will *dramatic pause* shake our head in disapproval and ask you to apologize.

Don't feel bad Sir Goulum, I'm sure Canada is a better place with you there.

I think we need to get our good friend antryg the wonderful, cultural interpretive movie "Canadian Bacon." ;)
Oh, and LL, why don't we send down our mighty polar bear armada. ;) :D |

True Moose, Canadian Bacon (the movie not the food) was obviously the major source of my knowledge about Canada. I appreciate all the help and insight which you, Sir Goulem and Lord Lothar have offered me. I've also been impressed by how fast Canadians type. I mean, three responses posted in as many minutes. Also I want you to take the rap for my now having to go out and buy a gun. How else can I protect myself from all the moose, beavers, etc. that you are sending against me? Just wait until Yorrick and Timber Loftis get ahold of you guys! Canada forever! Pass me a beer eh.

Canada a nice country, friendly people, nice scenery. But there hockey teams suck :D
Ok, ok, maybe suck isnt the right word. Only Edmonton and Calgary missed the playoffs, and they each had around 90 points. But thats all irrelvant. Detorit has the cup now :D And they will be dethroned by The Stars this year. Edit: And hey, whatdya know, the Stars and beating Edmonton :D [ 10-28-2002, 09:30 PM: Message edited by: Iron_Ranger ] |

We sweeped the Olympics though. Both men's and women's hockey gold! Of course that was thanks to Lemieux and Yzerman but we still won!
|
Iron Ranger, If you are going to say good things about the Stars you need to go to Cloudy's Cafe. *sings* "The Stars on ice, are big and bright, *clap/clap/clap/clap* Deep in the heart of Texas.

Ah well, these past olypics wear pretty cool anyway. And hey atleast we wearnt the Swedes ;) Sheesh, Belarus... And beside, ask any hockey player, the Cup is way better then a gold anyway. And two very key players (Hull and Chelios) wear American. Well kinda anyway, hehe. Sorry for going off topic. antryg-I may have to go check that out. Ah well, I will leave now, IMO, Canada is a nice place overall. |

Ha, it seems Brett Hull is not actually an American.
|
Yeah he was born in Ontario. In all honesty, I dont know why he claims to be an American. Was Bobby Hull an american? Ah well, I certaintly dont mind it :D
|
The actual story is that Dave King passed him over for one of the Canada Cup teams, and since his mom was American, and they offered him a position, he played for 'em. ;)

Will every Canadian please pm me that I may individually e-mail you and proclaim that the Northern Lights is just the gleam from your smile and that clean streets are next to godliness. Really; I think all Canadians are "special". http://smilies.networkessence.net/otn/love/1luvu.gif *sigh* I'm going to need more Canadian beer. |
Yeah I figured it was something like that. Nice to have him aboard. Too bad he doesnt play for the Stars anymore, that ruled :(

There's a reason that we call states we don't like "the Canada of the Union." (mostly referring to states that have little to see when you drive through them save for flat, brown land, and a town every hour or so). Ok, joking aside, the reasons Canada is so great:
1.) better Casino 2.) three words: The Beer Store 3.) "foreign" women 4.) awesome camping grounds (area around Bancroft being my favorite) And two things I dislike: 1.) pountine? 2.) sweet-tasting ketchup |
Hmmm...canada...what comes to mind when thinking of Canada?
Crappy excercises about Montreal in my french speaking book. Not much else. Is Canada part of the common wealth or was that New Zealand? *confused look* |

JEEZ, are ya kidding? :D You're really part of the common wealth? Dude, where have you been hiding all this time? :D

Kaltia it's easy for you to find Canada. Drive down to Birmingham and take a right. Keep going straight for, oh about 2100 miles, and look for the lighthouse. Don't forget to roll up your windows when you make that turn.

*holds map the wrong way up and ends up in New Zealand* DO they speak french here too? *confused* |
