It depends.
If you do the underdark quickly and you leave most quests for later then yes the equalizer is pretty good.
If not then you get to find other swords better than the equalizer.

No, the suckqualizer is not worth it. Many dangerous enemies are neutrals in some sense. Golems are TN - and it's golems who is waiting for you in Suldanesellar! Demons and rakshasas can also be TN. A magical sword created by Enchanted Weapon spell is often more useful than the suckqualizer. The only place (in chapter 6 and 7) where the suckqualizer really helps is the Bodhi's Lair - all vampires (except Bodhi itself) are CE.
Therefore, collect the parts of the suckqualizer - if they come in your way, store them somewhere - if you have enough room for them, and create the suckqualizer - if you do not know what to do with all your money in Chapter 6. Always think twice whether to equip the suckqualizer or whether to equip a more suitable weapon.

The Blackrazor has a lot of good propeties, but you have to use evil to get it (or CLUA console misc3b). And will you stop saying Suckqualizer its disconcerting.

I was MAJORLY disapointed. Overall the equalizer is a piece of shit if you're planning to go through all the trouble of selling it... sell it and get a better weapon.

So what, you're killing djinni's throughout the game, even when being good. So whats so special about this one.

As for longswords, keep daystar for liches (although they arent THAT bad, only Kangaxx is the real MOFO). Dualwield Celestial Fury (can stun ALL opponents) and Balduran's Sword (MR and LORE) or Dakkons Zerth Blade (if you're mage +1 5th, 6th, 7th lvl spell). Then get blackrazor at the end. Hell, if you have anomen or keldorn when you do the djinni, they dont even care, so whats evil about getting the second best sword in the game?

Tis because it changes your alignment, and this can be seriously screwy if you are a Paladin or a Ranger. ;) Besides, Blackrazor is overrated, by the time you get to use it, you find far better weapons in ToB already... ...

Also, Blackrazor is fleeting, but the +2 to saving throws is permanent. [img]smile.gif[/img]
