Hey, cool, Epona, but don't forget your helmet! (Mandantory concerned physician's warning.)

Worry not Attalus - it *is* mandatory to wear them in the UK!

Attalus 09-20-2002 03:03 PM

As well it should be, m'dear. The transplant surgeons describe their ideal transplant donor as "a 19-year old male riding a motorcycle without a helmet." ;)

Cool, you can join the hell's angels now. :D

johnny, you are really on dangerous ground here

I think you will find the fair Epona is more likely to go for the retro-chic of the whole mod/ska/northern soul type vibe.

I really can't see her in greasy leather (well, not in a capacity that could be elaborated on in a nice forum like IW ;) )

<H1> <font color=#F85036>You Go Girl!</H1> </font color=#F85036>

(color supposed to match the tail light LOL)

It looks great on you!

(Once you get used to riding it, if you EVER get the opportunity to test out a Honda Rebel (250), DO IT!!! Low center of gravity, lightweight, easy to handle and big enough to be seen in traffic.

Have fun with your new ride Epona & you be careful out there!

Oh yes, got my license back, insurance etc.
Took it out this afternoon round some of the country lanes, got stuck behind a tractor believe it or not.

BTW, if the pics don't show at any point it's cos I've exceeded my bandwidth at the site hosting them

Dude, her name is Epona, not ESpona.
Epona is a Celtic Horse Goddess.

I know, I know, to be honest I'm down to drinking once a week anyway since I've moved out into the sticks cos all my mates are back in London and I'm not enough of an alkie to go to the pub by mesself (contrary to popular opinion). I wouldn't ride if I had touched a single drop, I know how important balance, concentration & judgement are. I don't want to end up as Epona jam.

Donut -

So what does your Eponavespa :D sound like Epona? Is it loud? Like a bee, or a hornet, a giant's fart, or a full blown belching roar that shakes buildings and destroys eardrums?

Hoho, how did I miss this? It sounds nothing like a hairdryer, or a lawnmower, nor any sort of buzzing insect nor farting (not even farting in a tin can thank you Talthy ;) ).

It actually runs fairly quietly, a bit higher pitched than a light motorbike. Have been told that it is a 'retro bum-buzzer'. Have been challenged by a rockabilly to a ruck in Brighton next Mayday (I told him he'd better bring his mates ;) ). Have been asked where my parka is. And when I am going to add mirrors & lights. Have also been waved at, smiled at, been given the thumbs up, and attracted lots of positive attention.

I am still loving every minute of it, this weekend I am planning a long round-trip (actually I'm helping my ex to move house, he's hired a van & driver & I'm helping to load and unload and getting between places on my scoot.) Going up to London, then to Grays in Essex, then back to Guildford. Unless it's pissing down, in which case I'll be stuck on a train looking moody.
