Don't you guys think that Austin Powers just rocks? He's soooo ultimate cool! Just last night I saw the second movie (Austin Powers: The spy who shagged me), and it really cracked me up, so I was wondering what everyone on this forum thinks of him.

I love Austin Powers. I don't know if the third one has opened yet here, but my brother and I are going when it does. I thought both movies were equally funny, although I think Austin was funnier in the first one, and Dr. Evil funnier in the second one. LOL my favourite moment of all but was Austin trying to turn round his buggy-thingy in the passageway in Dr. Evil's lair in the first movie :D

I also liked the bit (I think it was in the second one) where Dr Evil did his 'homeboy act'when he was demanding money. "Talk to the hand cos they face ain't listening" etc

I also really liked the part of Scott (BUFFYYYYYYYYYY!!! *cough* *composes self* :D )... The bit where they were going to parent-child counseling ("There's nothing quite as breathtaking as a shorn scrotum... I suggest you try it sometimes" :eek: )

LOL Mel, yeah! So many great bits! The Jerry Springer segments in the second movie were inspired (but scarily not unrealistic... [img]graemlins/uhoh1.gif[/img] ;) ).

And Dr. Evil asking for money... one hundren billion dollars! And him and Frau Whatshername and Number Two and all doing their evil laugh :D

Austin makes the comment that he's incredibly relaxed when, suddenly, bubbles start erupting in front of him. Both he and Alota seem embarrassed by the obvious flatulence. After an awkward silence, what could be said?

Alota: *shocked* I can't believe you passed gas before me.

Austin: *grins* Sorry baby, I didn't know it was your turn. HE-HE

After they picked me up off the floor, I knew I'd be hooked forever on that snaggle-toothed sex symbol...lol.

Penis pumps, fembots (*screaming* "send in da fembots!"), shagpads, Mr. Bigglesworth, Mustopha (*in pain* "I'm hurt very, very bad...but I'm still alive"), and Dr. Evil holding the world ransom for ONE MILL-E-ON dollars...

I don't really like the Austin Powers character very much but some of the jokes in the movie are absolutely hilarious.

I don't want to be a party pooper, but those movies are just not funny. They are plain stupid. Comedy has degenerated into wooden slapstick like Austin Powers, Friends, and Frasier. Bleh.

The Third Movie: Goldmember, was by far the best yet. I can sort of understand how some people don't like the movie. Attalus REFUSES to watch the movie. So i quote it on purpose. :D

I casnt stand that asutin powers jerk., his jokes are unfunny and immature. Loved the first 2 movies, the third was kind of weak.

It also helps if you grew up watching lots of James Bond movies, as there are so many spoofs of various 007 elements in the Austin Powers movies that I lost count.

I think the third movie was brilliant.
Especially the scene where their car (The Gr8 Shag) gets stuck under a dino in Tokio...
