Wonderful. I LIVE in Florida, but not in South Florida.. but still. READ THIS!

Anyone know what is big (building or bridge or something) that they would want to 'take down' in Miami??

This story is developing....

I would be surprised if they tried something right now. There's too much attention. They ARE making plans, be sure of that, but now is not the time.

The time is never the time it is supposed to happen, but the only way to stop the 'waiting for the other shoe to drop' syndrome is to cut off the feet.

Awfully awkward, situations like these... For all we know, the woman completely made it up to get her 15 minutes of fame and the FBI and police are looking for nothing at all. But in these days, I suppose the US doesn't want to risk neglecting *any* warning, how silly sounding they may be.

Would like to think that this is finally all over...

MagiK 09-13-2002 09:03 AM

Just do not forget that even before 9/11 the FBI and CIA were receiving 3000-4000 threats a month, now that 9/11 happened and everyone bitched and moand that they didn't do anything to stop it, I think now they just announce every threat that has anny credibility at all.

Hm, interesting. If I had a penny for all the times I'd heard someone shout "terrorist"...I'd have a lot of pennies. Still, any warning is a good warning, I guess.

Go watch CNN. They FOUND them! It WAS real! See. 1 person can make a difference, and you gotta trust someone in this matter.

CNN and FOX news are on this live!

Cool glad they caught the bastards. Wish we could treat them like they deserve.....Some times thumb screws are a good thing.

Ziroc 09-13-2002 03:17 PM

lol! yeah! or cork screws!!! :D

Update:

1. L. Plates don't match on the 2 cars they stopped
2. Both cars ran a toll booth without paying
3. Bomb sniffing Dogs went nuts at both trunks --nothing was in the trunks, but may be traces-- where are the explosives NOW???

More soon!

MagiK 09-13-2002 03:22 PM

OOps didn't know they havnt found the explosives...I think They should use "whatever means necessary" to get these fine upstanding individuals to volunteer the info :(

Wow, and while all of this was going down, I was totally oblivious; on campus and enjoying an excellent band that a friend of mine booked for "Rock The Vote" a voter registration promo that they hold every year.
Thanks for posting this Ziroc! It reminded me that I need to keep more tuned in to what's going on around me!
I wonder if the unaccounted-for explosives were those 300 lbs that were stolen out of Houston this week?

MILAMBER 09-13-2002 04:14 PM

Turns out it was a gag. Click here for the story.

Well, I think that "the presence of incendiary materials in both cars, and the (fact that a) license tag on one of the cars wasn't registered to the vehicle" IS enough to arouse suspicion. The fact that JEB BUSH practically said its all OK makes it even more so but that's my own personal opinion of the Bush's just adding more to what should be considered a threat...It doesn't matter what race you are, if you are driving a car with an illegal license plate and have traces of explosives in your trunk, you should be getting more than just a ticket for blowing a toll booth! Think about it!
