This site has a flash-movie which is 7Meg. It's one of the better put-together flash movies I have seen. Very touching, and truthful.

Watch this. REMEMBER....

K T Ong 09-08-2002 06:29 AM

I wonder if it's unrealistic to hope that such things won't ever happen again?... :(

It is.

I agree with Johnny. You can never tell what the future holds.

Attalus 09-08-2002 08:45 AM

Alas, we can do but what we can to prevent it happening again.

Lioness 09-08-2002 09:29 AM

Thanks Z-man. That was well put together.

Grimslade 09-08-2002 09:37 AM

Poignant. Thanks Ziroc.

Horatio 09-08-2002 12:46 PM

Thanks, Ziroc. I saw a memorial in the paper a few days ago, with lists and photos of people who jumped. Very disturbing indeed.

Cloudbringer 09-08-2002 02:13 PM

Nice. My church is having a memorial service on Wednesday and today's service was to honor those who died in the attacks on 9-11.

SecretMaster 09-08-2002 02:22 PM

my parents might take us down to the city to visit the emptiness of the WTC.And we'll probably go on the observation deck of the Empire State Building, just incase that goes down to. It sucks up in NY, everyone is so depressed this time of year, and i can't blame em.

Thank you for providing that link.

Karen and I had not seen most of those photos, and some were pretty tough to see.

What a sobering piece of work. In more ways than one.
May time truly heal us of the wounds so many of us still carry in our hearts over the events of that day.
May God and others forgive those who had a hand in them taking place.
God Bless the Heros and the Survivors.

Jorath Calar 09-10-2002 10:23 AM

touching...

MagiK 09-10-2002 11:46 AM

I have no words :(

Thanks Ziroc.

What I find most heartrending, is the story I heard on NPR this morning about how many of the families of the victims who died on 9/11 are not taking it well.

No big surprise, their lives had become Hell. Now every time on the News they show the planes hitting the World Trade Center, they feel the pain all over again. The memorials bring no closure but remeberance of the day their loved ones were murdered. It was a very sad tragedy, so much so that I have a hard time seeing any of it. I can only think of the loss of life and the wives, husbands and children who are left without the ones they love.

I will observe a moment of silence for the ones who have died, but more for the ones who continue to live with the pain of what is gone from their lives.

Never again should innocents suffer at the hands of so callous an enemy. Never again should anyone die for another's misguided cause.

Thank you for reading.

Mark

Very moving, Mark, thanks for letting us read it. I'll follow your moment of silence. :(

Sorry for the bump, but I feel this needs to be on the first page today.

How do you put into words things you can't even clearly speak
in your own mind...
I don't know that I can find the strength to turn the TV on today
or listen to the radio. We can only imagion the pain felt by the families
of those killed one year ago today. We can only remember and hope they
know we care. That above all things, today we hold them in our hearts.

Dan...Thank you for the link. Thank you for the Graphic at
the top of the page. Thank you for the time you put into this site.

To those responsible for 9/11. I understand that the Koran states that
innocents are not to be harmed in a war. That women and children should
have nothing to fear from a Muslim. Pray that God/Allah will forgive you for
Killing innocents. For going against what he teaches to serve your own goals.
Because this Nation will not.

MagiK 09-11-2002 08:57 AM

Amen Mark, and not just for Americans, No people should be so callously attacked, with men, women, and children being sacrificed with no thought or care :(

Nachtrafe 09-11-2002 09:08 AM

Hear Hear Mark.

Most excellently put.

Thanks for the link Ziroc. A fitting rememberance.

suggestion: take off the comments, leave the last one on: We Will Prevail.

I have no words for the website, except I watched it to the end and cried.

I will never be able to listen to Enya's Only Time without shedding a tear now.

My heart is broken for the lives that were lost or irrevocably changed that day.

Here is a tribute I would like to offer in memory of the innocents and heroes of September 11, 2001.

Tears of an Angel
tears of an angel
gently fall
as many to heaven are called
not ready, but they have to go
never expected it,
never did they know
lost their lives
on that sad day
many souls were taken away
tears were cried,
pain was felt
hearts torn,
nothing remains, but ashes and dust
from this earth,
taken away
never more to cry,
now they are happy, up above
wings are protecting them
surrounding them with
peaceful love.

I would like to offer my sincerest condolences for the occurrences of this fateful day one year ago. America rest assured that I stand with you and that my coutry stands with you and that the perpetrators of the whole malevolent plot will all be bought to justice in time and any who support such acts shall be bought to justice.

edin gal 09-11-2002 11:22 AM

My heart goes out to all those poor people and the ones left alone. I hope something like this never ever happens again.
