What sort of thick, ignorant, up their own arse parents would be stupid and unthinking enough to name their newborn son Romeo?

I can't wait until he goes to school.

Avatar 09-02-2002 05:19 AM

Dave, Vic, Brooklyn and Romeo have been invited to the Peach Festival in the town of Romeo, USA. :D

Altranan 09-02-2002 05:20 AM

I dunno, but I know who's top of the league!

Oh dear Altranan - you should never have come out of the woodwork because now I know of your existence!!! :D

Did you go to Tottenham Town Hall yesterday - I hear they paraded in an open top bus. The last time they won the league they paraded in an open top tram! :D

BTW - this time last year Bolton were top.

He won't go to a public school. He'll either get private tutors, or go to a private school full of kids named Alfonso and Jebadiah. If anything, Romeo will be teasing THEM.

Altranan 09-02-2002 05:56 AM

Well at least Bolton stayed up, I'll be content with that.

Anyone else think a Viera vs Keane fight to the death hosted by Eric Cantona would be a much better Nike advert?

I have not the foggiest idea of whom you're talking about , but seems to me Romeo is not that terrible a name - could've been named Nabuchodonosor or Athanase ...

Kaltia 09-02-2002 06:42 AM

Or Archibald Humperdinck!

You must be telepathic! Those were the names they were going to give a girl!

They named their first child 'Brooklyn' because that was where he was concieved.

In case anyone doesn't know who the parents are - the Father is David Beckham (the England football captain) and the mother is Posh Spice (the thin talentless one from the Spice Girls).

Horatio 09-02-2002 07:01 AM

There were roomers that this new one was concieved in Peckam. You know what that would mean... :D

Kaltia 09-02-2002 07:06 AM

Donut, aren't all the Spice girls untalented?

Horatio 09-02-2002 07:08 AM

Hmm...Geri Halliwell used to have quite big...talents. :D

I forgot there was a ginger talentless one, a sporty talentless one, a hairy and a baby whatever. *yuch*
I remember all the girls in my school liking the spice girls...now they wanna pretend they never did...*snicker*

Donut 09-02-2002 07:14 AM

In the Ali G interview she was asked:

'Is it true that if it's a boy you'll name him David after his father, a great footballer, and if it's a girl you'll name it after Madonna?'

Kaltia 09-02-2002 07:15 AM

HAH! Good 'un... I never saw that, damnit.

Jorath Calar 09-02-2002 07:18 AM

What about Todd and Tucker... Tyler and Flynn, sheesh, some parents really hate their kids...

Lord Shield 09-02-2002 07:28 AM

Brooklyn was named because that was where the conception was

so was Romeo conceived in an Alfa Romeo?

Calaethis Dragonsbane 09-02-2002 07:31 AM

no comment... (...what a name to call a child... what era are THEY living in... I pity the child... who the hell would want parents like that?! *cough*)

edin gal 09-02-2002 11:11 AM

Oh what a name, the poor kid will take some stick for that.
I wonder what they were thinking about, they could have picked something a bit more normal.

Kaltia 09-02-2002 11:13 AM
