I would make a poll, but its more fun this way :D
I have ONE cousin, and i havn't seen him in over 10 years. Beat that :D |
I have three cousins on one side, they're all older than me, we're not too close, and I have eight cousins on my other side, two of whom I hang out with whenever possible, though they live an hour away...

I have no cousins, but one of my mom's good freinds we call Aunt has a daughter. I don't think of her as a cousin though. I don't think of the other as an Aunt though either, now that i think of it.
|
Too many..I have elven aunts and uncles. So you get the idea right?
|
I have 8 cousins total, 4 on each side. 2 on one side I haven't seen in at least 12 years, 1 I saw a few months ago, another I saw 2 days ago. One the other side, I've seen them all within 18 months.

About 15 cussies I spose,
|
Where do you people get all these cousins? My family is me, brother, parents, 2 grandmothers, and one retarted Aunt noone ever talks to. After that i have to look in our Adress book to remember who my realtives are they are so distant. Then there's you people with eighty Aunts, 10 siblings, 17 parents, and 9109 grandparents. It's nuts to me!

Hmm...just got back from seeing more in one place than happens every 15 yrs... 46 aunts and uncles..
somewhere in the neighborhood of over 120 first cousins... is that alot? good thing about my family is that they are all likeable folk, so I am very lucky in that department...I could mooch my way around the world a week or two at a time and never stay twice with the same person for a year.. somewhere between 20 and 30.
Wilbur, which C'ville are you from? I spent a summer in Circleville once out on a farm. Fun place if you like the styx (which I do lol) |

I have, oh about 4 or 5 cousins on my side of the family, and a about a gazillion bajillion on my wife's side. She is constantly exasperated by the fact that I give her a blank stare whenever she mentions a particular one, especially if the relation is somewhat distant. Wife: Do you know so-and-so? Me: Who? Is it one of your Quota CLub friends? W: No silly! It's my mum's uncle's nephew's niece's cousin's daughter-in-law! You know, the one who had to undergo hair surgery. We met them at (yet another relative)'s wedding. M: Who? W: (Irritated tone) You know! The one with no ears, and with a crooked nose & missing teeth! M: Err, sorry the name doesn't ring a bell. Maybe if I might know them by face... W: (Thoroughly exasperated) Never mind! |
3. They only live a couple hours away, but I havent seen them in a decade. Except for my grandfathers funeral, but I never got the chance to talk to them then. Gods, I cant even remember their names. Not good cos cousin is hardly a distant relative is it.
Oh an I suppose I have a few dozen on my mothers side, but ive never heard tell of any. |
Years ago I tried counting my cousins. 8 from the English side of my family and over 100 from the Irish side. Many have died since and some new ones have been born. When I went to my Grandmother's funeral my eldest cousin (65) was carring my youngest cousin (6 months). As well as having over 100 grandchildren she had over 200 great-grandchildren and over 50 great great grandchildren.

I've two cousins on my father's side of the family, and seven on my mother's. Four of them live nearby, so I see them quite often (especially the two who live nextdoor ;) ). And then there's my elven cousin Calaethis, so that makes ten.

I have 5 in England, 4 in Holland, 2 in Germany, 1 in America and 3 in Australia. Age ranging from 3 months to 40 yrs.

I really can't tell. I've never seen my father so i don't know what's been going on on that side of the family. But from my mums side there are 5 cousins (i think) :D
|
Ok, if you mean first cousins, I have 20 of them. My dad's got 4 brothers and a sister and I have 16 cousins on that side. Four on my mother's side.
My grandmother had 13 siblings so I have no clue how many cousins I have from that part of the family(second cousins) nowadays, but let's just say at the family reunion for that one branch of the family and just her maternal side....well, we took an entire town park for the bbq! LOL My 16 cousins on this side have produced 32 kids to date so I guess they're cousins of a sort too.... OK, I'm giving up counting now! LOL Poor Nacht got a little overwhelmed at the funeral last week. He met a whopping big portion of my family over two days and his head was spinning. ps: WHOA! I concede to Donut on the large family front, though! [ 08-21-2002, 08:01 AM: Message edited by: Cloudbringer ] |

Thanks! :D I grew up near Kings Island if you have ever been there. Of course it wasn't all paved over and full of mini malls when I was growing up there. It was very rural, very pretty. |
That area around King's Island is pretty barren now, being next to one of the busiest highways in the nation. I know what you mean, we're losing the last few of our farms, to pre-fabricated "neighborhoods". Neighbors my butt, most of them are rich spoiled brats as far as i'm concerned.
