One morning a mouse walked down a stony path. It had just rained the night before, so everything was clean and refreshed. He was very thirsty, and looked around for something to drink. By the side of the road, there was a big glass of water! Someone had left an empty glass there, and it had filled up with rainwater. When the mouse tried to take a drink, he found he could not because he was very short and his snout was not very long. He didn't climb inside the glass because he was afraid he would not be able to get back out again. Minutes later, he took a drink from the glass and walked away down the road.

The question is: how did the mouse get a drink of water?

There was no moisture on the grass, the mouse was not strong enough to push the glass over, and all of the rocks around him were not big enough to use as a stool. He didn't eat a mushroom either.

It rained the night before so water wouldn't have been that hard to find right?

Andrew Mcveigh 08-18-2002 02:56 PM

I WANT TO KNOW!!!! by the way, i think the moisture on the glass is the answer.

Calaethis Dragonsbane 08-18-2002 03:18 PM

Willard 08-18-2002 05:57 PM

Nope. Try again!

SomeGuy 08-18-2002 06:07 PM

Someone came by and knocked it over? or he used the force to topple the glass over or he farted and it propelled him into the glass?

skywalker 08-18-2002 06:16 PM

How about he put stones in the glass until the water overflowed out of the glass and then he drank?

Yes! It was a rocky road, and the rain washed all of the dirt off the stones. The clever mouse threw the stones into the glass until the water was overflowing. He drank the water then.

Well as you already know (living in Vermont) that I(we) have more than enough C02 coming in from the west of us, so I'll have to turn down 1/2 of the prize! ;)
