Two days ago, a woman in her early 30's was found dead along a road not to far from my house. The police do not know if it was a murderer or not, but I'm only 12 and this is freaky. I never thought this would happen where I live. Its freaky now, and that road is so empty, with just woods. its scary to be alone, and I'm not sneaking outside to stargaze and roam for atleast 1 week. I just hope the person doesn't strike again.

I understand... if you do wish to go out... make sure to take someone (or 2 people) with you to stargaze
|
Wow, that is scary! It always means a lot more when it happens so close to home doesn't it?
Let's hope that it was a random act and she was dumped there rather than killed there! In the meantime, you do what you have to in order to remain safe, OK? *hugs* |
well, if you were 21, i would say do like i do. i carry a .40 caliber pistol with me (legally), and that help ME go out alone, heh. i agree, get someone to go with you, or two. that is the best thing i would say.

I've actually had these kind of things going on recently to and it is freaky. This one guy murdered his girlfreind and left her in the garage, and this kid shot his own dad on another persons property without the houses owner even knowing they were there. I live in a fairly well to do suburb and noone ever commits crimes except for trashed teens. It's kind of disillusioning to know that people around me do these things and not just random nutcases in the city. Personally i dont like to roam after dark in any case, im knd of paranoid about the dark.

Stay indoors, SecretMaster. Go out only with your parents.

Man, thats terrible news. The same thing happened near the Good News Center where i go just three weeks ago. I was talking about it with my mates Ali. It turned out that the person who got killed was the father of one of our friends.
I normally walk my friends home at night anyway. Before i walk alone back down to a bus stop. See how selfless I am. Just this year i've been mugged at knife point 2 times and beaten up by a group of drunks who saw me preaching in the street that day. Lucky i'm strong of faith. Its sad to say it but people around here are used to it. I really hate the "s**t happens" mentality societys got. |

Evil Al,
That really is terrible! I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that the best people have the hardest lives. ;) Don't hate...it only feeds the negativity that we strive to keep at bay. [img]graemlins/ladyhearts.gif[/img] God Bless You, Monique |

I know I have told some people who have tried preaching to me before to go shove it up their arse because frankly if I wanted to find out more about Christianity I would go find it out myself, I dont want a bible basher interrupting my daily life when I have no intrest in what he/she has to say. Not saying its a good thing you got beaten up for it, but you have to expect it to a certain extent when you are preaching to a lot of people who dont want to hear it. |
Thanks for your concern guy's. I try not to hate the people that sin against me, I know that some of them can't help it, I attually feel sorry for them. A large number of people around here have serious drug problems and frankly Peterhead as a whole doesn't do enough to help those people. They seem to think if the police arrest them all and throw them in jail they'll learn their lesson. It would be so if they stopped taking drugs when they're locked up, but its sad to say some even come out worce!
Azure, I know what you're saying man. Some streat preachers come with the wrath of God and damn the people who don't look like they're listening. But i don't really see the point in that. Is someone really going to listen when they're shouting "SINNER!"? I tend not to use a microphone as well. We have banners up when we're preaching so people can come and listen if they want to. The Bible warned me this might happen, so it didn't come as a shock. But anyways I'll stop here before this turns into a relgion discussion, I don't want Saz to shout again... God Bless you too sister. [ 07-27-2002, 08:43 AM: Message edited by: Evil Al ] |
