Um... yeah? IT IS TREK!! Nananana!!! ;)

I'm not a hardcore geeky trek guy though.. I just like the ships, and design of them.. And making short movies is fun and I learn new ways to make the movies--better camera angles, story.. ect... movie stuff... ;)

WOW!!!! THAT'S awesome!!!

really like it , what program did you use to make it?

Cienden 04-30-2004 02:18 PM

Looks like Truespace.

Intrepid-ish looking.

Jaradu 04-30-2004 02:31 PM

Yeah IIRC, Ziroc uses Truespace 3 by Cagliari. How much is it, z? Excellent modelling, BTW!

Bozos of Bones 04-30-2004 05:50 PM

Looks very cool! What's it's class, core, weapons etc..?

Cienden 05-01-2004 04:13 PM

Truespace 6.6 is about $600US, so I bet version 3 is fairly cheap. Has a steep learning curve though IMO. I found it rather strange to work with. I guess it's mainly the interface which I find strange. I use Maya and it's pretty orderly and well laid out...most of the time. *sigh*

Ziroc 05-02-2004 11:52 PM

Yeah, I modeled it in truespace 3, and then imported it into trueSpace 6.5 for rendering and other tools. I like 3, because it's easier for me to model some things. Been using trueSpace since version 1.0, and it's easy to learn after a few days of playing around with it.

Here is the final (well, almost) version of the Starship:

I designed this before Voyager came out--actually guessed at what Voyager might look like, and this is what I drew up and was in my old trek movie I did in Deluxe Paint Animation. I came close huh? :D Anyway, it's about the size of Voyager with Phaser Banks on the top, and under the hull as well as some other cool features.. I'll post a animation of it in a fly by so you can see it better, and in action!

Bozos of Bones 05-03-2004 08:16 AM

I like it, Z! Keep it up!

Four Mad Men 05-08-2004 11:27 PM

I'm assuming by the windows that it's much larger than Voyager (unless my memory is faulty, but then I never really got into that show anyway). Apart from that your guess was fantastically accurate.

Bozos of Bones 05-09-2004 07:20 AM

Hmm.. good catch. Looks like some 600m at least.
