Would anybody be so kind as to tell me, why on earth there isn't a decent fighter character in BG II. They're all rangers, paladins or whatever. I want...no, excuse me, I NEED someone who can specialize to the max in two handed sword. Only then does a character really rule. That is why I'm of the mind, that they should have killed off Minsc (face it, he is a lousy tank) and maybe let Khalid inherit Boo. What do you think???

However Keldorn,Valygar and Minsc aren't THAT bad!
Keldorn can wield the holy avenger,possibly the most powerfull weapon in SoA and has some great abilities such as dispel magic and true sight.
Valygar has ggood stealth and with CF he is a killer backstabber
Minsc ... well is Minsc! :D

wel.. maybe is you REALLY want a great fighter other than korgan you make one as your main char or if u play multiplayer create one on there. then you can stop complaining ;) lol

i can't think of a single fighter class that can get as good as a certain CE ToB char. The best fighter i could come up with was

Fighter > Beserker Kit
Half-orc
19 Str
18 Dex
19 Con
12 Int
8 Wis
3 Charisma
(this doesn't matter much as there is a very good ringearly onthat will solve this)

Prof:
two weapon style 3 or max
rest into Axe + Warhammer
1 long sword

add prof point later to katana

this way, you can dual weild the Crom Fayer and another weapon perhaps the Celestial Fury +3, Frostreaver +3, Equalizer +3, etc.

Yeah, she's a girl. Yeah, she's short. Yeah, a 4-foot Halfling swinging a sword meant to be a 2-Hander for Humans is ridiculous. The only real drawback she has is that she doesn't start out with any points in 2-Handed Sword or 2-Handed Weapons (neither does Korgan, I might add). You certainly can't fault her AC, and her hitpoints are pretty good, too.
