I'm in Chapter 3 and I don't seem to be getting anywhere with Jaheira. Scrolling through the forums I see the Xzar/harper bird quest mentioned often in connection with that romance, and I'm worried that I can't complete the romance since I didn't do the Xzar quest.

Is there a way to salvage the situation, or do I grit my teeth and restart? Xzar is dead in my game so I can't go back and do his quest.

I have been very frustradted by the whole Jaheira romance. I got into ToB before I realized that the romance had "stalled" and I'd have to start over. Grrr... [img]graemlins/1pissed.gif[/img]
I hate to say it, but I think you have to either go back, or cheat to jump-start the romance

I don't really mind cheating if it means getting this out of the way *grin* Tried setting the romance to On but nothing's happened so far...

Very frustrating.

If someone could give me exact details on what cheats are required to get Jaheira's romance going, I'd appreciate it, tried changing a few things but no luck so far.

May just restart the game.

I´m not too sure about this, but I think the romance doesn´t start if you don´t do the Xzar quest.

OKie, right now I have both Viconia, who I want to romance, and Jaheira, who I don't want, dooing the smoooove talk. I did the Montoron thingy and am just finishing smaller quests...Both are active romances, based on comments both make to Tristam, the light of thier lives, and to each other...what I want to know is, when does the whole Harper quest come up? I am still on Chapter 2, I haven't yet paid the Coo! guy any dinero yet....

You don't need to be romancing Jaheira to do the harper quests.
And the Harper quests have already begun.
IF you are romancing Jaheira at LT 25 she will be kidnapped by bandits.Then after you resolve that encounter Jaheira will be summoned to the Harper Hold and the fun begins!!!!

I downloaded the walkthrough because my romance with Jaheira seems to have frozen, but it didn't help. Possible spoiler...

I just rescued Jaheira from the Harper hold and have done everything the guide says. It says that the next battle with Dermin should take place after two ingame days have passed and then one rest. I have rested for something like 8 days, and he doesn't show up. The romance still shows as active, but nothing is happening. It is so annoying.

I think I have the answer!!!

First you have to develope a hardcore studder. Then you could add a little cowardness to the mix, and should you happen to answer to her every calling with: "Y...y...yes, Jaheira", that should do the trick [img]smile.gif[/img]

Actually I have no Idea, but it may be worth a go [img]smile.gif[/img] Or mayhab she's joined the other side, and therefore have no interest in the opposite sex. She is a little masculine, if you take a closer look (notice the hairy upperlip).

I just rescued Jaheira a while ago and nothing new has happened since then. No new encounters with either Dermin or other Harpers.

Seriously, I am annoyed enought that I don't even want to play the game anymore, unless I can get it going. The walkthrough said that 2 days after saving her plus 1 rest would initiate the last battle with Dermin. I just tried again and rested for 20 days. Nothing happened. I am fed up.

Set the LT at 55.Then rest at the druid grove.
Dermin should appear for the last time

I don't get why I have the set the lovetalk back, though. I don't get why regressing allows me to go forward. Oh well. I'll give it a go.

LT should be numbers like 1 13 17 ect not 2 44 ect.
If you have the later probably you are in a bug situation.
I understand your frustration!I had to RESTART 3 times before I managed Jaheira!
Once you are done for the first time though it is all soooo easier!
I only hope you get to complete the romance!

Ok, I did as you suggested. I got the "Ah... the dawning of the day" dialogue, which I had had before. Then nothing else happened.

just a quick question here but..........are you by chance an ELF?! if so, kiss the Jahiera romance goodbye, she is racist or something toward elves.

I am half-elf. But I figure if she had no interest, the romance wouldn't even have started.

Viconia is the one who will not romance elves not Jaheira.

If you are not too pissed off go to umar hills and sleep.
If still doesn't work go to the De Arnise hold NOT inside and sleep.

I hope that you did manage this time because i must sadly admit that I cannot console dermin in.

Well, I gave it a try. I rested in each area multiple times and nothing happened. So I did the only thing left to me: I killed Jaheira. Now I will cheat and reactivate my romance with Viconia and roleplay it as if she was so impressed with me killing Jaheira that she wants to be with me again.

How do I check LT, which I assume is Lovetalk...and when do they come and druidnap her?

Got the Jaheira romance to work, the dude hasn't shown up to give her a harper pendant yet though and I'm in ToB. I assume there're more romance dialogues with her in ToB?

EDIT:Jaheira gets kidnapped after LT 25.You have to rest outdoors for it to happen.
As for Jaheira's ToB romance dialogues if she hasn't the harper pin by the end of SoA I don't think that she gets it on ToB.
