I played the game before and romanced Jaheira, but never got to finish the romance-- it "stalled" at a certain point. Now I am playing it again and have gone farther than before, but worry that I may have missed something.

Jaheira left the Harpers a while back and we have discussed it a few time now (maybe 3 or 4). One of the most recent chats involved her asking if I had "changed" and if I enjoy fighting and killing. I think there was one more after that.
I am now about to confront Bohdi for the final time and from what I have heard/ read, I know Jaheira should be turned into a vampire. I just want to make sure I haven't missed anything. I have heard that Elminster is supposed to show up at some point and give Jaheira a Harper pin. Does this need to happen BEFORE the battle with Bohdi? If so, what do I do to trigger the event? I have had no indication of how to advance the Harper subplot. Jaheira keeps telling me she needs to think, but has never said how to resolve the Harper issue. I really don't want to mess up the romance again. Can anyone give me ideas?
I have fought and killed a couple of Harpers that came to bring me to justice. Are there more? Do I have to go somewhere to confront them?
Any help would be appreciated.

Forgive my ignorance, but what IS the LT rating? Where do I find it?

You need to "activate" the CLUAConsole.
To do so open your Baldur.ini directory and under Program Options write "Debug Mode=1" without the quotation marks.
Then under Game Options write "Cheats=1"
That should enable the console.
Load your game pause it and while paused press ctrl+space.
That should pop up the console
Now in the console window write
CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("LoveTalk","LOCALS") while you have the pointer on Jaheira's portrait.
That should give you your LT rating!
It's easier than it sounds!!!!! :D

Thanks. I will try that. Like I said, I fought a woman Harper (for me it was in the graveyard) and Jaheira tried to explain that I'm not so bad and that we wouldn't fight her, but she attacked us and we had to kill her. I don't remember any other battles after that.
Do I have to meet her mentor BEFORE the encounter with Bodhi?
Will the ToB portion of the romance wait until I start Tob, or will it integrate itself into this game?

That whom you fought at the Graveyard was Rivianne.
You must meet Dermin before you go to Bodhi.
In order to carry your romance to ToB you must have romance active=2
To check your variable
CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("JaheiraRomanceActive","GLOB AL")
Also in order to do the reverse vampirism quest you must have romance active =2.

I did as you suggested, even to the point of heading to the keep. On my way, I was attacked by "merchants" who said they were sent to deal with me. They then changed form, taking the appearance of my party. I killed them and proceeded to the keep. I rested. Nothing happened. Rested again. Nothing. Again. Again. Again.Again.
All in all I rested about 25 times, but the coward never came.
Were the merchants part of that plot, or something else? I am getting frustrated at the thought that the romance has ended.

Ok that is a major bug
You can try to go another location such as the druid grove and rest there.
If this still doesn't work type
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("LoveTalk","LOCALS",55) and press enter on Jaheira's portrait.Then rest OUTDOORS for example Druid Grove.

I DID meet Dermin, back in chapter 2... We talked, but didn't fight. That was when Jaheira left the Harpers. Is there another encounter with him to follow? I tried the love talk 55 thing and it caused a dialogue in which I tell Jaheira how beautiful she is by moonlight. I hope that I am ready for the vampires now.
You said that I need romance active=2. It is 1 right now. But that confuses me, since with Aerie it is active=3. Does that mean lower is better? 'Cuz nothing is going on with Aerie.

Okay, I played through the fight with Bodhi just to check and she does NOT turn Jaheira... :(
I have read in some of the older posts that Jaheira is supposed to run away and leave me a note telling me not to follow. That never happened. It seems that the romance might be dead. How do I get it going again? It seems that I have two things to do: 1) have Jaheira leave after writing me a note and 2)fight and kill Dermin.
Anything else? Please help. I am so annoyed. Today is my day off and I wanted to spend the whole day gaming, but I haven't been able to play at all because I can't (Wont't)go any further without Jaheira responding.

The Jaheira romance has got to be the buggiest thing in the whole flippin' series. Why Bioware let the product get out the door with a flaw like this is beyond me. Is there a place we can go to download a semi-official patch that fixes all this garbage?

I've seen patches, but nothing official, so I'm not downloading them. I had heard that the bugs were fixed with ToB. Guess not.

Finally got Dermin to appear, and Jaheira went back to the Harper hold. I went after her and got her back. Do I still face Dermin again? Also, I have heard that Jaheira will ask to sleep with me at some point. Is it safe to do so? "cuz, you know, I don't want to deprive her of anything she wants... [img]graemlins/kissy2.gif[/img]

Yes you get to fight Dermin again.And kill him.
Jaheira will ask you to sleep with her and you can accept without trouble! :D

Well this is a little late maybe, but i'm trying to romance Jaheira too and everything seems fine, although i have a few questions (i've got TOB installed):

- the Getglobal/Setglobal with CLUAConsole doesn't give me the LT rating
- i also cannot find the LT rating with Shadowkeeper
- i just talked to Aran Linvail and Dermin appeared for the second time, giving Jaheira a last warning. She said she'd think about it. On the first encounter with Dermin, she renounced her Harper status.

Isn't she supposed to go to the Harper Hold again? Do i have to wait for something?

Anyone?

I figured everything out and my questions are all answered! Deeply in love with Jaheira! (although i like myself being the Slayer, great looks!, reminds me of Buffy, god i love Buffy she's one heck of a vampire slayer and i wanna be a vampire when i meet her!)

There should probably be a whole separate forum just for problems with the romances.

In my current game, I'm romancing Anomen, but Jaheira's getting all of her Harper quests anyway. Everything seems to be going pretty much as planned: Killed Galvarey, Jaheira defends her actions, we talk it out with Dermin, we kill a few more Harpers, Terminsel brings me the note, we go back to the Harper Hold, kill a few more Harpers, kill Dermin and a few more Harpers (I think I have enough Rings of Protection+1 now), and then nothing. Run back and forth from the Forest of Tethir for 3 weeks straight, nothing. Rest, rest, rest outside, nothing. Do I actually have to be romancing Jaheira to get to the conclusion/Harper pin?
