My favourite online test of all times. This has been taken by many leading politicians. You have to be fairly opinionated and know a bit to take this, or you'll come out wrong or neutral. It measures you in two axis: Libertarian to Authoitarian Left to Right You'll see where many people have ended up from: Hitler, Stalin, Chairman Mao, Gandhi, to Bush, Tony Blair... etc. all at www.politicalcompass.org sorry i don't know how to do the linky thing |
Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -3.88 Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.82 I took this test months ago, and back then I was more around -6, -6. |
um, how did they get Hitler, Stalin and Chairman Mao to take an online computer test?
|
It has not been taking by the politicians but political analysts have assessed what they would have said if they had taken the test based on their policies rather than on their (private) personal beliefs.
I stand somewhere with Gandhi and Mandela. I can live with that. |
Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.12 Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.23 Hmm...according to this test I'm more left than I really am in reality. And I'm probably more authoritarian than this. Oh well, at least the company isn't so bad (Gandhi and Mandela), it could have been worse. |
I started bang dead in the centre before...
then i went to -4, 0 now am at -4.5, 1.2 |
Economic Left/Right: -2.88
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.36 Hey! I'm Ghandhi, that can't be bad. |
Economic Left/Right: -2.50
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.87 I'm leaning Ghandi's way, but I'm closer to Jean Chretien. |
Economic Left/Right: -1.25
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.87 I'm very near to Jean Chretien. Who's Jean Chretien? |

I know, I was disappointed when I first realized, too.

Economic Left/Right: -3.62 Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.41 And here I thought I was a Republican! I on the same side as Gandi and Stalin. Damn, according to this, I should have supported Nader in the last election and Dean in this one! NOT!!!! Donut, you are NOT Gandhi, Gandhi was a little bitty dried up bald-headed dude. I've seen your picture and... well gandhi you ain't! :D |
Economic Left/Right: -6.75
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.28 |
Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -3.25 Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.72 Cool, I'm just south of the Dalai Lama. |
I too find it funny they got so many people to take the test. I'd like to see the Dali Lama's particular responses. :D The pope, too.
Your political compass Economic Left/Right: -2.25 Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.82 Me and Chretien. Okay, looking at the numbers. I rest my case that IW is liberal left. Ideally, I'd like to consider myself economically to the right yet socially liberal. In other words, I'd prefer a score of Econ. +3 and Liber/Auth -4. I notice no one ranges much into that quadrant. Maybe I should read some Freidman. Anyone got any good suggestions? |

At least this is waht they say on their page (If I did not misinterpret - okay this sentence seems to be relative enough :D ) |

Economic Left/Right: -3.88
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.64 And it would appear I am rather close to Ghandi |
I'm on the right some where between Feidman and Thatcher.

Economic Left/Right: 1.12
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.08 Apparently I am the most "centrist" person to post results--no extremism here. That is something with which I readily agree. |

Economic Left/Right: 7.00
Libertarian/Authoritarian: 4.00 There ya go Grojlach. Told ya I was between Freidman and Thatcher. |

By "centrist", I meant that my position relative to the absolute center (the point 0,0) was closer than others' positions. A lack of extreme viewpoints, in other words. I can live with being "the most right-wing person", however. |
Economic Left/Right: -7.75
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.74 Bring on the revolution Of course what they think is central is of course not what correct minded people think of as centre (ME ) Anybody slightly right of me is a dangerous fascist and those left of me are just well intentioned but politicly naive ;) |
