Yay!! tomorrow comes this years Eurovision, and this time in Estonia ! im very happy because of this. from somewhere i heard that Finland thought that such a small country couldnt do it. Ha !

for those of you who dont know what Eurovision is(most americans, i bet), it is a big contest where all countries of europe represent 1 song and then the countries vote for eachother.

this is soo exciting :D ! im sure Germany will come up with an.. interesting song, as always(in Eurovision 2000, they had Stefan Raab - Wadde Hadde Dudde Da(i think it means "what do you have under your dress" or something :D ) and though some think Estonia will win again, they will NOT, im sure of it.

you actually watch this ? I think all songs are crap, all of em !

yeah, i do. i think its fun to watch which country will win and stuff.

though i agree. atleast 90% of Eurosongs suck :D !

Dreamer128 05-24-2002 03:49 PM

I sure hope we'll do better then last year. We had such high expectations:(

andrewas 05-24-2002 04:11 PM

90% of the songs suck? But that would imply that 10% are good. Which is not consistent with what ive seen of the contest.

dude, don't you know ? Last year our song was so bad, we aren't even allowed to compete this year. Aren't we lucky ?

Are top fifty billboard musicians allowed to compete or do you have to be a amateur?

it's mostly newcomers, well known singers don't take the risk to loose their reputation. sometimes there are singers who don't even get ten points. You never hear from them again.

I mean, there are certain artists whose mere presence could already make them win the Songfestival, it wouldn't even matter if the song sucked or not. :D

On the other hand, abba became famous after winning the contest, so sometimes it works out well.

</font>
Which is really funny seeing as how you are from Estonia and you didn't spell it right. ;)

Good heavens, a well-traveled geography nut American! Who has a passport and *uses* it! And who knows what and where places like Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius are! I hope I didn't give you too big a scare. ;)

Anyway, I have heard nice things about it, can you tell me what Tallinn is like?

Grimslade 05-26-2002 09:44 AM

Malta came second! Grrr...I have Maltese background, so I would have loved Malta to win.

Ar-Cunin 05-26-2002 02:14 PM

Denmark came LAST

and there was much rejoicing

This means that we can't take part next year => no euruvision song contest for nearly two years - pure bliss
