Just curious. What do you think your *greatest* accomplishment is and why?

The thing i'm really proud of has yet to be completed. It shall remain secret as no one as read it yet. *HINT HINT* So instead i'll just say something lame such as learning to finger pick. That was pretty difficult. On second thought learning to play my guitar period was pretty difficult. I was really thinking about giving up. With that d*mn showoff in class and everything. ;)

It's a tie for three:
1. Having a loving relationship
2. Having my son
3. Getting through medical school and getting my M.D.

Not going hopelessly insane and committing suicide from the horror of living in a country populated almost entirely by xenophobes and drunks. I'm rather proud of that. I HAVE gone hopelessly insane, but in a good way :D

Getting a Masters degree (which required of me that I write a 30,000-word thesis). ;)

Learning to walk. At least, the last two times were accomplishments.

Two separate bouts of paralysis ...

Being the first person EVER to actually BEAT PSO, by having one of every character with every weapon, armor, mag, sheild, and all maxed out spells, and reaching level 200 with an RAcast... Only a Hacker could do as much and I didn't have a cheat device so NYAH!!!

That and finishing the Halcyon Otaku Manga way back in the day, that sucker was LOOOOOOONG... Also, comming up with an ending (finally) for halcyon otaku X 2.5 whichw ould have been 350 pages long had I relayed it post-per-chaper... which i certainly did not...

Hmm..Havent acconmplished much so far. Learning (somewhat) to paly guitar is pretty big accoplishment. When I finished a 300 page book at age 10 I was pretty proud of my self.

And being somewhat knowledgeable about the compurter is pretty big acoplishment.

Reading is no small accomplishment.. being able to read is what allows people to succeed where others cannot Way to go.

Oh and raising Guenevere (my dog) from the time we got her as a pup from the shelter, and rasing her into a loving, obedient dog was pretty tuff as well.

Most of my achievements have been in sports, with athletics having the greatest success. State title when I was 17.

Other than that, getting my MCSE in NT and then updating it to 2000 was pretty big for me, as I've never started many courses and not finished them.

Rasing my daughter for the past 8 years since my wife passed on. Heres to another 8 years!

lroyo 05-16-2002 10:55 PM

Animal, that is very sad indeed! I have a lot of respect for anyone that can get through something like that. I'm sure relationship with your daughter is a special one.

My heart goes out to your loss and hope that you have seen better times since!

You know what David, I've never really thought about that before, I'll have to get back with you on that. I'm not sure right now, but just curious, who's the showoff in guitar?
