In the ending act, who are those people after you see Irenicus die. I'm thinking its the guys at Candlekeep, cuz one of them sounds like Tethtoril from Candlekeep.

spoiler
UM i think cowled wizards |
I have heard that they are supposed to be the other bhaal-spawn
Although Yaga Shura couldn't have been present :D |
Question's been asked a few times now ...
But i keep forgetting the answers, or suggestions rather, nobody seems to now for sure :( Anywayz, one nice option was that they were Bhaal-priests, another guy had an even nicer sounding theorie, but i forgot that one Anywayz, i kinda like the bhaal-priests idea, sounds good enough Hope it helpz |
Weeeelllll....
I've got my own ideas, but I wouldn't want to sway anyone's thinking here. :D Then again, if my arm was twisted... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I would say that it would be the Five from ToB, excluding the oversized one, and including the one who brought them all together. That's my theory. ;) |
I could ask my neighbour if you guys want. He worked on the game!

How did you find out Gorrion was a Cowled Wizard?

IIRC, there were seven of them seated around that table, and all of the faces we saw were male. They could very well be Cowled Wizards, except that the Cowls have no link with Bhaal (that we know of, anyway), and their disquiet/fear/hostility from Gorion's Ward becoming too powerful would only make sense IF Gorion's Ward is a caster of Wizard spells--which He/She frequently isn't.
Priests of Bhaal? More likely. They don't even have to be connected with the Five at all--perhaps they're working against the Five, and hope to gain favor at Bhaal's rising by being in charge of the ritual exectution of his children. If I were any stupid enough to be working against Gorion's Ward, I'd be peeing my pants, too. The guys who made the end movie probably made the dudes look more like the Cowled Wizards in order to make you cower in fear (yeah, right) that the Cowls were plotting their revenge. |
yep, seven faces, all male, none big, all human. doesn't really match the Five, or the mean lady :(
solution: the end movie was made before ToB came out. they needed something to give the appearance that the saga was not over, so they threw together some dudes to make it ominous. they expanded and revised the concept for ToB, but couldn't change the movie once the game had been released. minor discrepancies always arise when you mess with revisionist history. (i.e. the Star Wars problems with Eps I/II vs. IV-VI, anyone?) |
I think the hooded figures at the end of the game could be Harpers. "Gorions ward has become to strong.." would mean that they are worried that the player character may up set the balance and must be dealt with. If i remember correctly Gorion was a Harper as well so it makes sense that they would refer to the player character as "Gorions Ward".
