Heya! do you know any REALLY freaky games? i`d love to play one and experience s**t in the pants from a game ;) . ive heard sofar that Thief is supposed to be very spooky. that game has been Game of the Year and also very popular but very few ppl played it over(the third level is supposed to be freaky [img]smile.gif[/img] ). Alien Vs. Predator 2, ive heard, is scary too.
please, tell me about some other freaky games.

I once saw a Dreamcast game where the purpose was to keep your character from dying of a heart attack from the fright inside of a zombie-ridden theme-park [img]tongue.gif[/img] it was pretty tight, i forgot the name of it though...

Phantasmagoria 1&2, I never played them much myself, not my kind of game. But from watching others play them I can say that they are QUITE freaky. Max Payne is a shooter but it has some VERY freaky dream sequences.....

I have just bought Iko for the PS2, that has my heart going I will tell you. I haven't done too much because it is really difficult.

You have to lead a little girl out of a dungeon, you cannot let go her hand or the creepy crawly ghosties will get her. If they get her, its GAME OVER MAN. It sounds easy, but its not.

Carmageddon... well it's freaky not so scary [img]smile.gif[/img]

The only form of media to ever honestly scare me was a game called System Shock 2, it is pure unmitigated shit your pants and hide in the corner shivering horror. I know people who refuse to keep playing this game because it just freaks them out way too much.

Arrgh!! I remember SS2!! You think your safe, then you have to take on a horde of mutants with a wrench *shudders*
And aliens Vs predator is just as bad or worse, you sit there in the near silence, almost crapping yourself with every drip and then I mean literally out of nowhere this scurrying creatures leaps out of the dark giving you the biggest heart attack ever... and then you have to backpedal while shooting or the acid blood gets you *shudders worse* Ugh, that game's evil...

Follow these instructions:

*I herby deny resposibility for any harmful side effects resulting from this procedure*

1)Go three days without sleep. Survive on caffine.

2)Turn out all lights and watch all four Alien files and both Predator films

3)Load up Aliens Versus Predator (The original is best, but the sequel is acceptable)

4)If your not shit-your-pants, hide in the corner, wake up screaming scared by now then you are not entirley human.

I've heard that a few changes of underwear is necessary with Clive Barker's undying, but I've never played it myself. Pound back a half sac, turn down the lights, crank up the 5.1's and throw in Return to Castle Wolfenstein. There's a couple of moments that'll send you screaming like a little girl from the room.

As the others said--System Shock 2. BUT....... 2 other even MORE scary games:

Thief 1
Thief 2: Metal Age

You WILL jump out of your seat. It blows away PVA2 too. You play a Thief--Garret, and OMG.. sneaking around in the dark, and the Guards and people have REAL good AI. Not like "you get close and we know you are there" like in Quake or something.. TOTALLY awesome..

You can get Thief 1 'Gold' or Thief 2 in the BARGIN BINS now!! That doesn't mean they are bad at ALL.. It's already a classic.

You use Arrows a lot in the game--water arrows to put torches on the wall out (So you can hide in the dark). Fire arrows, Moss arrows (To walk quietly over metal floors and stuff).. Rope Arrows.. Sword, Blackjack (Knock people out from behind when you sneak up on them).

Thief III: The Keepers will be out this Summer/Fall, and I can't wait!!!!!

I have to agree with Ziroc here! System Shock 2, Thief and Thief 2 are by far the creepiest games I've played. Fantastic games as well!

Lands of Lore II for some reason on and off gave me the creeps, depended on where I was. The sound effects coupled with the monsters coming for you in first person just got to me LOL!

To all those that have listed Thief I, Thief II, and System Shock 2 I say, RIGHT ON!!! Playing Thief 1 at night in the Bonehoard, The Haunted Cathedral, or The Return to the Haunted Cathedral were downright nerve racking. It literally gave me the creeps as well as the proverbial "heart in one's mouth" more than I care to count. Once you play you can never forget the sound of Zombies or Haunts. My brother watched me play one night and he got so freaked out he had to leave! Of course T2 didn't have those atmosphers, but the game has its very intense moments. I always considered Thief as portraying what a thief in an RPG world would be truly like.
As for SS2, I have read many times about the absolute spooky, freaky, heart pounding story line and how people literally have jumped out of their chairs. The atmosphere is almost indescribable It is a crying shame that Looking Glass Studios went under, makers of these outstanding games. If SS2 would have been accepted by the public LG would still be with us. I do know that all major gaming mags, etc. gave it superb marks. Why it didn't take is a major mystery.
I'd say, uss, that Thief 1 and System Shock 2 will definitly give you what you want and MORE. And the good thing is you can pick them up for cheap. Give it a shot.

SILENT HILL is the scariest game EVER !!!

I heartily recommend the Gabriel Knight series to you. Particularly the third installment: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned.
The games follow horror themes mixed with cryptic mystery-solving and the script is often of silver-screen quality. Plus, Tim Curry plays Gabriel Knight (in the first and third games)!!!

The first game is great: Voodoo cults in New Orleans. Not to mention the reawakening of an ancient order of Holy Warriors.

I havn't played the second game to be honest (it's very difficult to get hold of nowadays).

The third game is also a classic. Vampires, Royal Bloodlines, French Villages, Ancient Treasures and the ultimate scandal of the Catholic Church! [img]smile.gif[/img] Get into 'em.

thanks alot, everybody :D . i think ill try Thief. i heard that Thief 2 is not that scary as the first part. i belive ill also grab Alien Vs Predator 2 because as far as i know, it has a good and creepy atmosphere and those little fast aliens are supposed to freak out the player :D .

I am totaly agree with Albrormor and Ziroc i have played Thief 1 and 2 for years and thise games give some strange feelings when you play them you can`t stop playing..and some places is WERY scary and the sound in this games are so well done that i almost had to change my pants hehe!
And one more things you can allvais downloade new missions to both games here: Thief missions
Then you newer will be out any new missions!
Also System Shock 2 is one of my favorites you are alone on big spaceship and there is only sceary monsters that are after you haha...!
Yea i can`t wait........and one more thing with # 3 is that there is almost the same pouple that make the game to and they will use Unreal engine to make the game!

Thief 2, System Shock 2 and Half Life are some of the best, and the most freaky, games I have played. Top stuff!

The original Quake was also scary- the gothic atmosphere and Trent Reznor's twisted music created one evil game.

Alone in the Dark too.

If you are interested in older games, Darkseed 1 + 2 and a game called Waxworks were quite scary.

Well it's about time someone mentioned Resident evil, the entire series is scary but like Bahamut said the worst is Resident evil 2.

Resident Evil 2 I agree is the worst... 3 ain't freaky anymore... better graphics, less freakyness IMHO.

Why did they edit or change those little things in Silent Hill? What it's like they don't want blood in games so the first Mortal Kombat on Snes was without any blood? Crap
