Speaking of good taste, if I'd thought 'bout it I would've listed all the vids that you suggested aswell.

Downunda: It was a series shown in the UK in the late '70s?? (I think that's when it was on) based on the Roman writer Suetonius' Life of Claudius (published in translation by Penguin as "The Twelve Caesars") A truly great historical drama. |
I think it was here int he UK in the late 80s/early 90s
a most ewntertaining piece indeed. you can't beat roman emperors for utter insanity :D |
I love John Carpenter's early films (The Thing, Halloween...) but I never saw The Fog. I'll have to check it out.
My favourite films in no particular order : Aliens Bladerunner Terminator 2 The Exorcist Braveheart Lord of the Rings The Matrix Seven |

Seven is absolutely awesome. Very dark, very atmospheric. Great acting. You should hire it right now! (If you don't mind getting a little depressed). It's not one I'd recommend watching on a first date.
I love Fight Club too. I should add that to my favourites list. |

seemed a bit average to me that film ;) |

Ty Epona. I tend to feel my tastes are not run of the mill
Well i did not see it in the 70's I kinda was not born then. I saw it on PBS in the 90's here and then I bought the video. I love the accurate it is in dipicting the life and politics then. Granted alot of it is speculation but he did a great job in research. Also I am into Brit TV and films. I much prefer them over most American stuff. I also enjoy a lot of french films also.
