Yah, the quote function is a new one that a lot of updated boards do. I don't mind one or two quotes in a post but more is ridiculous!

hmm there must be a setting to disable multiple quotes, i know the've done it on another of my forums, except that was with vBulletin.

About the multiple quotes, until Z can fix it, you could just do what me and many other do and delete the other quotes you don't need and only quote that bit.

Sorry, but Z, here's one vote fully in favor of keeping IW the way it is, Spam and Seriousness together in one forum. It makes it much more fun and much easier. The one thing I'm not too fond of at TSR is the way I have to visist two forums to get my general chat in. GD wouldn't be the same without spam. ;)

or saying "bye" when someone is leaving?,
or in a thread when someone makes a comment that you strongly agree with and wish to express that you do?,
or answering a direct question with "yes" or "no"

All this is just commonsense really, and moderation. It doesn't bother anyone if someone spams once in a while, or talks junk once in a while. I do it myself. But people need to know when to stop - to know when to hold off. All it takes is a bit of discipline and common sense. ;)

It wasn't a serious suggestion, just a round about way of acknowledging there had been a lot of spam recently. Anyway, I'd never indorse spam...
