Okay I'm really freakin' out here.Me and my parents have just had a house built for us a few months ago.Everything was Peachey kean until this APRIL!For the past few nights some weird stuff has been happing around here.Like one night i woke up and went to go get a glass of water and as soon as I went into the kitchen I heard a faint scream of a woman and I stood there for a moment and tried to figure out where it came from and what it was.I took another step into the kitchen and I heard it again. One night my computer suddenly lost alot of files that I quickly replaced with the help of my dad. There were no viruses detected but I had one latley but no major damage caused. The next morning i went to get a bowl of cereal and I went into the kitchen and heard a faint noise a man screaming.I went back into my room and saw that some of my cloths were out of the closet on the floor. My t.v. was on the food channel.I'm really freaking out here.My parents don't know yet becuz I know they won't believe me.Maybe it was my nephews that are living with me for a short while did the closet thing. On the night of the woman screaming thing I saw a figure of a man that dissapeared suddenly but my eyes were probaly playing tricks on me.Can someone please help me?

SecretMaster 04-25-2002 08:42 PM

Classic haunting. My house is like that, actually, i can help you. E-mail me at AckMan_24@hotmail.com. I'll try to help you as best I can, I research and study lots of para-normal activity, though it seems odd.

Lady Blue03 04-25-2002 08:45 PM

Let me just say that is realllly creepy. Especially if its going on in a new house!

SecretMaster 04-25-2002 08:46 PM

First, let me cover the basics. How old is your house. Any previous owners? And, have you lost any grandparents or family members recently. This may help. Try communicating with them. Ask on a piece of paper/ write "who's there, or my name is so and so, whats yours". Try a sance, that can help. I have just been seeing odd stuff in my room, and its freaking me out. But they can't hurt you, only scare you.

Cloudbringer 04-25-2002 08:52 PM

It all could have a basis in reality for explanation too. NOT necessarily paranormal. I'd chill out and keep an eye on those nephews for a while if I were you! :D And don't get paranoid.. it leads to more and more exaggerations of things in your mind even if there IS nothing to worry over!

And if Casper is visiting..well, seems he just likes FOOD and messy bedrooms. ;)

SomeGuy 04-25-2002 08:53 PM

I just said it's a new house SECRETMASTER.We just had it built a few months ago.

Lady Blue03 04-25-2002 08:54 PM

Maybe u should try using a Oija board? Those things work really well, i have one. It might contact whatever or whoevers doing all that stuff

SecretMaster 04-25-2002 08:56 PM

Okay, newly built house. What bout the neighboorhood. Any old abondoned buildings nearby, any woods. Anything significant bout the land you built it on.

Epona 04-25-2002 09:03 PM

I don't believe in ghosts at all - there's always some rational explanation.

Lord of Alcohol 04-25-2002 09:07 PM

Better lay off the pot smoking for a bit. Or alternatively if your house is built on an acnient Indian burial ground, better start smoking more. Your welcome for my sage advice and good luck with the demon.

SecretMaster 04-25-2002 09:10 PM

There is some rational explanation to everything, soon, this we'll be a rational explanation. Entities do live among us, whether you say so or not. That is my belief, and I am watching my stash carefully Lord of Alchol lol.

SomeGuy 04-25-2002 09:11 PM

My nephews were asleep cloudbringer when some of this happend.SecretMaster there are lots of wooded areas around were a live.I live in kinda of a rural/urban part of town. There are atleast 3 abondond buildings around where i live.A girl resently died in a car wreck where i live, but i don't think i knew her.i had something happen to me a long time ago.I've had some experiencs with the onknown once.I was riding with all the kids on my football team back to our houses. We were in a wooded area that was surronded by trees.I started hearin voices in my head whispering my name.A.J.,A.J.,Aj.I started seeing pictures in my head.Bloody dungoens filled with bones.Screams yelling in my ear.it was at night though. It kept going on and on and on and would'nt stop.I started crying because this was scaring me so bad.I was made fun of at school the next day.Everyone was saying"dude were on something or Aj Aj Aj."I hit someone for doing this. And no I'm not afraid of the dark.

Sir Goulum 04-25-2002 09:13 PM

Woa. When I lived in a 100 year old barn house I had stuff like that happen to me all the time but never ever have I heard of it in a new house!

SecretMaster 04-25-2002 09:15 PM

This might be the source of the problem. Think hard, is the name AJ familiar with you. When you hear it, is there some odd feeling about it, like you've heard it, but where. This could be the answer. And if you can, find out bout those abandoned buildings. Find out owners, names, what it was, everything you can if really want to solve this mystery.

SecretMaster 04-25-2002 09:17 PM

Just some comic relief, but my initinials are AJ.

SomeGuy 04-25-2002 09:20 PM

uhhhhh secreatmaster Aj's my name.

SecretMaster 04-25-2002 09:24 PM

Ha, we got some conections. Though its my initials, my real name is Andrew.

johnny 04-25-2002 09:27 PM

someone is trying to pull a trick on you, it has to be

SomeGuy 04-25-2002 09:30 PM

SecreatMaster.Check your email. And I was using AJ because that's my nickname.Andrew's is my real name. Now I'm really freaked out.

Lord of Alcohol 04-25-2002 09:38 PM

I dont think theres a ghost alive that can take you, be strong!

SecretMaster 04-25-2002 09:39 PM

Okay, this is scary. Anyway. I've thought of something. The voice was saying AJ. Find out about the stuff i said earlier, and that voice could have been trying to contact you. Did the voice seem familiar?

SomeGuy 04-25-2002 09:40 PM

Hey thanks Lord of Achohal that makes me feel a tad bit better.

SomeGuy 04-25-2002 09:45 PM

hmmmm well the voice well um the voice sounded like my girlfriends. She's alive i know that, but i havent heard her voice for over 7 years. We write to each other. She does'nt live where i live. She lives a couple hundred miles away.wierd huh?

Ladyzekke 04-25-2002 09:51 PM

I had a hamster die once, and never put its cage away. At night I would hear the wheel turning by itself, creeepy!

Later I dreamed of the hamster, Chessie was her name, and she told me that she didn't want to leave the realm of the living, but I eventually told her to seek the light, and she went, then I put the cage away in a box.

caleb 04-25-2002 09:51 PM

You either have more of a connection with the spiritual world then most people or those voices were all the result of a overactive imagination.....

*\Conan/* 04-25-2002 10:04 PM

I hear what your saying caleb!....reckless is he.

Encard 04-25-2002 10:27 PM

A voice? Oh, sorry, that was just me... I like to torment you puny mortals... ;) Hmm... well, not actual comments about any of this, since I have no idea if it is or isn't anything... but try not to become too highly paranoid/nervous... you'll be fine... *uses supreme powers of powerness to mentally support SomeGuy*

lroyo 04-25-2002 10:58 PM

Personally, I find it hard to believe in such supernatural things (although I would like to), but if SomeGuy really is going through this, then perhaps our jokes should be kept to a minimum.

I hope you solve this soon SomeGuy (or stop making things up for dramatic effect!)

Sazerac 04-26-2002 03:07 AM

It could possibly be poltergeist activity. Parapsychological studies have shown that it tends to increase dramatically when there are prepubescents in a house.

"While the word poltergeist means "noisy ghost," parapsychologists do not believe that the phenomenon is caused by disincarnate entities. Noting that most poltergeist activity occurs near prepubescent children, parapsychologists attribute the phenomenon to uncontrolled psychokinesis."

In short, you guys are doing it yourselves. Lay off the sugar for awhile and get some proper sleep. :D

This is extremely worrying. You need to take action immediately SomeGuy before you are mentally damaged. Never go into the room where it happened without covering your head with silver foil. They can't get into your head because the foil reflects the paranormal rays.

I don't advise using a Ouija board, they can be scary. Once during a session we asked 'Is there anybody there?' and very slowly the glass moved to 'No'. Now THAT'S scary!

Epona 04-26-2002 04:40 AM

Yes Donut, you're quite correct.
I was discussing this in the pub last night with someone who said that a friend of a friend of a friend's aunt's stepsister was having a very similar problem with a demon, who had taken up residence in her house and would wake her to demand sexual favours in the middle of the night. The only thing that worked to keep him at bay of a night was to sleep in the metal bathtub, so I think you may be on to something with the foil.

That silver foil is a bit of a hard item to get for the regular Joe off the street. In OZ I can't get it at all, on accout if the high purity required for spiritual reflection. I think we got our last batch from a place over in the US - Louisiana - "Argent Articles" was the name of the place. I'll see if I still have their card - they may have a web address by now.

Bruce The Aussie 04-26-2002 04:44 AM

has anyone died in the woods you said are near your house? (if i understood correctly)
with the voices i usually find shouting at the voices in my head works
also you could try an exorsism (s/p) even if its not a ghost or other paranormal force they usually make people feel better about themselves (safer i mean).

I think that at a pinch he will get away with using ordinary cooking foil but he may need two layers.

Donut 04-26-2002 04:54 AM

One other thought SomeGuy, do you have any metal coat hangers in your room? These amplify paranormal signals. You should replace them with wooden ones.

Davros 04-26-2002 05:00 AM

ALUMINIUM FOIL (sorry -Aluminum for our US friends) - are you kidding - I work in the industry and I know what goes in that. Besides, we are talking way to low a molecular weight, the wrong range of atomic number, and a completely different valence. Sheesh - now if you'd said a double layer of copper that might just have worked - valence of +1 (check) - Atomic numbers and molecular weight are much lighter, but the double layer takes that into account - more importantly we are talking the same grouping (ie 1b) in the transition elements.

Phah - Aluminium - how are you going to protect him with that - why don't you just paint a huge target on him with a caption saying HAUNT ME.

Davros -BIG DEAL, so you work in the industry well let me tell you I live in the real world and I have an aluminium foil hat consisting of just two (yes two) layers of foil which completely covers my cranium. I wear it to bed every night and I have NEVER been visited by paranormal spirits.

Just because you are a chemical engineer doesn't mean that you understand the paranormal!!

Davros 04-26-2002 05:25 AM

HUH - what strange brand of logic do you operate on Donut - myth number 1 - "Donut wears his double foil hat to bed every night and has never been bothered by the paranormal" - therefore it is the aforementioned double foil hat that protects him from visitations. What gibber balderdash and piffle - I have rarely heard such utter wooly headed thinking in all my years.

Your so called protection could be coming from any of the other well known holistic barriers which as anyone learned will recall, number a total of 13. When you can furnish competent evidence that your protection is not being derived from any of the 13 strictures (and don't forget we have only managed to discard the Argent Helmet thus far), then and only then will I admit the possibility of a 14th paranormal protection. Really, such presumption as yours flies in the face of all right minded thinking.

lroyo 04-26-2002 05:32 AM

Wow, I never knew!

I think I'll shall buy some shares in Alfoil before Earth is attacked by Aliens. An investment that cannot fail!

Bruce The Aussie 04-26-2002 05:40 AM

HHmm... are there specific desigh instrutions for this paranormal proof hat?
