Cloudy's Cafe

Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself

Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good
darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie.

The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:

this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone

[i]* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner
* any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences)
-a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short
conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately!
* Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!)
* do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it.[i]

Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around theworld. And purple napkins, of course!

The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by.

:D

Did you have a nice time away?

Bahamut 04-16-2002 01:25 PM

Lioness you could just jump off the table and dance rather than you sing in the stage LOL :D

Hi, Cloudy, glad that you are feeling better. A/C probably helped becuse it filters out pollen #1 cause of sinus trouble this time of year. My morning run went really well. We have had tons of rainfall (wettest March in history) and the wildflowers are just popping up. Bluebonnets cover the roadside, Indian Paintbrush along with them, Texas Star (one of my favorites), and Broomflower, I saw all of these on my run. The grass is long and green, and it just makes me want to run out and join the new foals, rolling in the grass and whinnying.
Actually, uss, those are Southern sayings, and are said nowdays more in self-parody than otherwise. Texans (and Southerners) do not ever refer to themselves as Yankees. That is the people that live in the Northeastern U.S., like Cloudykins. As for your compatriots disapproval of U.S. actions, well, I can't muster enough emotion to worry. I might remind them that without us, they would still be under Russian domination, but they probably wouldn't care. As for you, you can read and write English, in an American forum, so you are probably a sneaky spy, trained to infiltrate IW secrets. :D

Did you have a nice time away?

Okay i'll guess i'll do that then.

The cruise ship was huge. It was almost like being on a 14 story floating mall. Didn't have quite enough stores for that though. Everything was strangely overpriced, but I didn't care that much. Having to much fun for that! :D Of course until everyone went out for drinks and left me by myself. That was the only part that sucked. ;) I guess I was the designated walk everyone back to the cabin guy. Nassau was nice, and the Atlantis hotel in Nassau was nice too. And I got to see sand. Real sand of all things! So to sum it up it was awesome! You should go on a cruise sometime! (just bring a friend who doesn't drink okay?) ;)

Lioness 04-16-2002 01:39 PM

Sounds awesome Red. :D

I'm good, romey. (and I don't table dance) where's Puff? ;)

Galadria 04-16-2002 01:42 PM

Yeah, cruises like that are fu, I just have to keep Attalus away from the buffet.

Lioness 04-16-2002 01:43 PM

Bye everybody! I've got to go for now. :( ;)

Sigmar 04-16-2002 01:47 PM

Glad to see you had such a great time RBF, would you like to go on a cruise again? Or was it a once only holiday in your opinion.

Bahamut 04-16-2002 01:49 PM

Well me too dang...

Nice ending caleb ruining my nice good ol convo with Yorick who I haven't even talked to for a long time... besides that nothing special yet LOL... So I'll see ya 10 hours later! :D

oh come on, what secrets could i possibly get from here? plans how to kill firkraag? tell me how to kill him, and ill sell the info to the Russian government :D . ok, one other question for you, as an american. do americans have very much hate against Osama Ibn Ladin? ive seen many Osama killing games, so that means that most of you do hate him. but if you had a gun, and you would see Osama, would you kill him? this question goes for all the americans here. ok, this is a wierd topic.
Ps:T- Did you get Nodrom out of the maze? is he good?

Hi, Galadria, aren't the bluebonnets beautiful? I'm a huge fan of them. I've got some pictures of ones that I took last weekend (Sunday) around Denton, but I need to resize them before I post them up here.

Around Denton we get Primrose, Bluebonnet, and Indian Paintbrush all mixed together in a riot of pink, blue-violet, and red. I'm not sure what the purple ones are called (Vetch, I think?) but there's lot of it out there, too.

Cheers,

Dear Uss: I think Miss Galadria was joking; that's what the :D was for. Seriously, though, I certainly wouldn't kill anyone, although I have no love for that particular individual. There are probably others here who feel differently, but I have little or no dealings with them...those are people who would probably kill their own as well. :( I don't traffic with killers, not that I know of, at least.

Cheers,
-Saz

Cloudbringer 04-16-2002 03:53 PM

Someone called for a Yankee girl? ;) Haha!

I do hate allergy season but it's not TOO bad yet and AC helps immensely. I find it is easier to fight things off when you actually get some sleep! :D

Everything is blooming up here too, Galadria!

OH frabjous day! Summer must be around the corner. My dufus neighbor is riding his lawnmower around and around and the other day he was running the engine and staring at it in the driveway! Well... could you ask for a more interesting neighbor? I mean, this guy entertains me regularly by going to his mailbox for the sunday paper and scratching where the sun don't shine then spitting... oh and did I mention, he's usually in his underwear? Lady Blue03 04-16-2002 08:50 PM

Good evening everyone! I meant to post on this last night, but my parents were being stupid .

Our jazz band did really well. Im so proud! We got best trumpet section out of the high schools, and of course our middle school won everything in their division(that used to b me lol). There werent many bands this year, and ours was totally blown out of the water by Mnt. Carmel and the Poway A Band(hosts), who sound like professionals. Then after the awards the pros came on, and i was like mesmerized they were so good. The drummer was some old guy, and he had like this 50 measure solo, and he was going nuts! He did this awesome thingy on the symbols(sp? maybe its cymbols), so naturaly everyone was jumping outta their seats :D .

Ok so can someone tell me where i can dl ICP because when i typr it in my search i get insane clown posse lol

Edit: o stupid me no wonder, its ICQ! Im such a blonde sometimes lol (even though im brunette :D )

Cloudbringer 04-16-2002 09:16 PM

Galadria! I know this isn't your specialty but I had a general question... how rare or common is it these days for older women to be having babies?
