Well I think thee forum may be a tad too fast for me? I am like browsing at threads and I get this fatal error thing saying that it has exceeded the maximum 30 seconds stuff... :(
|
Here's what I usually get:
"Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ironworksforum\ubb\noncgi\cache-ECQOC5PU\ubb_files\forums\Forum10\007462.cgi on line 1108" |
Haven't seen that one yet. I do get a
Undefined subroutine &main::topic_poll_bits called at C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/ironworksforum/ubb/cgi-bin/ubb_lib_posting.cgi line 1231. every time I try to open a thread with one of those new poll types in it. |

Also, the POLL Error.. UGH. I must have screwed it up somehow when editing the source. Don't know WHY.. I'll see what I can do. |
ouch dat's gotta hoit!
I noticed the errors too but they're easy enough to work around, they only come up when I upload stuff while opening new windows AND load an IW page tho... I cant seem to get a time out in any other combination of events... Never Winter Nights Track #15 |
I tried your Poll Test thread over in User Created Polls and got this just now: (same error Legolas got earlier)
Undefined subroutine &main::topic_poll_bits called at C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/ironworksforum/ubb/cgi-bin/ubb_lib_posting.cgi line 1231. Please inform the board administration of this error so that they may fix the problem. Thank you! You're Welcome! ;) :D [ 04-13-2002, 02:04 PM: Message edited by: Moni ] |

Yeah, i definately keep getting that, specially by the IWD forum and Online Roleplaying
|
I got the same error message at the bottom of this thread. Also happens every so often. Just gets inserted into the text.
30 seconds is an excessively long time to be generating a html page, Maybe the damn things caught in a loop or something. W/o seeing the source its hard to make sense of these messages but I cant think of anything else that makes sense. |
hmm im not getting any errors. will notify if i do.

<font color=lightgreen>I get the one with the polls... happens whenever I try to view a message with an embedded poll... always the same message, and it happens whereever there IS a poll, ie. doesnt matter if its in GD or Polls.
The maximum execution time thing- I was getting it at one stage on The Silver River, but only under certain conditions, such as using more then one URL coding in a post. It may be similar here in that it occurs as an IF spreadsheet statement. </font> |
I just got it again...
I usually get it when the posts are already very long, and usually in ones post, either in their sigs, or wherever :( |

Im still getting this error all over the place. Im now convinced it hasnt anything to do with the flood control either.
If I had to hazard a guess, Id say that the new caching in this version may have something to do with it. Maybe it could be fixed by increasing the allowable execution time for a cgi script or something. |
I think it is indeed a caching prob... since you said that you turned off flood control and all... :(
|
UPDATE:
Just happened again. It is at random I suppose... dang... this time, this day. |
