Today was our Christmas Parade here in Destin, Fl. It's December 8th and it is 78 degrees at 12:30 pm. Talk about a mild winter. I just wanted to let all you people stuck in cold weather, that I'm thinking about you. :D (And glad I'm not you! )

Sorcerer Alex 12-08-2001 02:14 PM

How kind of you, MJ. Know that I am shivering and thinking of you as I sit here looking at the weather forecast and discovering that it is precisely 40 degrees.

Friendly people, here at IW :D

We had really nice weather, in the 70's, for the past few weeks, which is extremely rare for this area this time of year, has been wonderful! Alas, I think it is all over now, is dark and raining and in the 40's today. Waaa. Was nice while it lasted!

Sorcerer Alex 12-08-2001 03:20 PM

LadyZ, may I take this opportunity to yet again tell you what a beautiful sig you have? It really stands out, and is simply wonderful.

Actually, it's about 23 deg Celsius (74 degrees F) here too...talk about a cool summer! It's only just started, though. :D

Campino 12-08-2001 03:35 PM

I just got back from taking my son to a winter daycamp with our cubscout pack. We had a snowball fight and it was great. For you folks that only enjoy one season of weather for the whole year you don't know what your missing. The downhill skiing, snowmobiling, sleding, snowforts, snowmen, and of course snowball fights. I feel sorry for you. True it has been a mild winter here so far and this was our first snow that stuck but we are looking forward to more. :D

Here in Iceland we are having one of those weekend when the temerature is up to the amazing 3°c and the wind is somewere around 30 meters a second. There has been a lot of snow recently and now it has thawed and made a nice iceskatepark...everywere...!

Could someone start a telethon or something to get me of this damn Island?!? HELP!

Mitro! You live in Destin? We spend every summer in Navarre Beach, and drive through Destin all the time. Here, it's 60 degrees Fahrenheit (no celsius allowed in Texas)Darn, I just turned into an Elminster. I liked being a Zhentarim Guard, more dignified.

We get to go up to Indianapolis for Christmas. I hoping my son gets to enjoy the snow this year. Last year he ended up with an ear infection and had to stay in the house and watch everyone play in the snow. That was the first time he'd ever seen snow before.

Isn't Wills Point just west of the Louisiana border? I believe I drive through there when I go back and forth to Dallas. It's a small world....

Well, maybe we'll get to meet next summer.

Jorath, Your "Island" is the one place in the entire world where I would like to goto, maybe not to live permentatly but definetly visit for an extended vacation. I am an avid 4wheel drive nut. I have 2 trucks that i built that I run as often as I can. I'm in a 4X4 off road club and we go riding just about every weekend. I saw a program on the Discovery Channel about 4wheeling in Iceland that blew my mind. Man, you guys up there really know how to wheel. Well maybe someday I'll make it up there, here's to Iceland. Cheers

It's been mild weather in Vermont for December, but it has been getting colder. I've begun wearing socks in bed at night, it's about 25 degrees outside right now.

Ryanamur 12-08-2001 10:34 PM

We're having a realy mild winter here in Saskatchewan. We don't have much snow (less than an inch) and the temperature hasn't been too bad. It's been about 0F all week (-25F with the windchill). Today's been nice, a warm front just swept by and raised the temps back to about 20F with windchill of 10F... it's almost like summer :D

SSJ4Sephiroth 12-08-2001 11:53 PM

had about 45°F weather here for the parade... and i was in it! i couldnt wear gloves, but everything else was A-OK! (i wore thick jeans, thermal shirt, sweater, and my custom jacket, just for refrence). i also had to hold my horn at a temperature-equivalent angle cause i was in the parade, which was harder than you would think after marching a mile and a half down main stree while playing the same song over and over again! DAMN YOU RUDOLPH! DAMN YOOOOOOUUU!!!!

You from Iceland, are you? There's another guy around here, Vicotnik, who's from Reykjavik.

Jorath Calar 12-09-2001 10:34 AM

Yeah I've heard about him, but never seen him post though.
